Feature Request/programming logistics?

So one thing I've always been amused by is the immense satisfaction out of making a two column table and using that for cell phone text message threads, How hard would it be to add a highlighter button so that I could do like grey for one column, blue for the other (or even just the ability to do it to individual cells in a table?). Also a spoiler button? I'm fine using quotes and just changing "quote" to spoiler, just askin'.
