About: Landon is the sort that wants to see and do everything. He is all about gathering knowledge no matter its form and rarely allows apparent restrictions to keep him from probing, investigating, and learning. He is the type to read any book, talk with any person, or venture anywhere he can to know and understand. His father was a Gryffindor but both his mother and grandmother were Ravenclaws Landon is a very down to Earth wizard from a mixed heritage. He couldn't tell you how pure or unpure his family is but that's mostly because he doesn't care about blood status at all. He will talk to anyone so long as they keep things chill, no matter their so called reputation, and he is always up for a party or something fun. Teach him something new and he'll adore you forever. Humble, able to laugh at himself, and always sincere, Landon is a bit of a dreamer with a strong adventurous streak. In his mind there is a time for thinking and a time for doing but if you can do both at the same time, so much the better! He loves learning about and handling magical creatures of all kinds and hopes to one day discover and name some rare new species of something or other. Secretly he likes to write absolutely terrible fiction based upon muggle superheroes and such (or random people he sees passing by), plays a mean saxophone (he's really just an okay player but he'll put on a good show at least) when the urge strikes, and his voice ain't half bad.

Nickname: Ryssa Character's Birthdate: August 3rd, 1993 Hometown: Originally Moscow, Russia, Now Surrey, England Blood Status: Half-Blood House: Gryffindor - 5th year Wand: Wand: 10 3/4" Aspen with Manticore Hair core Special interest: Wants to learn wandless and non-verbal magic Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown Height: 5'6" Personality: Laryssa is brave, bold, and daring (almost to the point of foolishness) just like her father who was also a Gryffindor, and is naturally protective of those who cannot protect themselves. It is often said in the Vega household that Laryssa is 50 percent selfless, 50 percent fearless, and 100 percent crazy. The truth of the matter is that Ryssa often leaps well before she looks, charging into whatever situation head on without the slightest hesitation despite being incredibly accident prone. It is true that she often appears to lack basic common sense and sometimes even seems a little ditsy, but she actually thinks well on her feet and enjoys the rush of the unknown. A true wild card, even the best laid plans tend to go to pieces when she is involved. She is a daredevil, a thrill seeker, utterly sweet and sometimes disarming, with a protective streak a mile wide. About: As the youngest of three, Laryssa often gets away with far more than her older siblings. Although, considering she is only a little more than a year their junior, that may just as well be because she's just that much more daring than the twins. Born a bit premature, she was often sick as a child. Thankfully magical remedies kept her from suffering too much but there were certainly a few close calls. Those were often the few times that her father dropped everything to come rushing back and it is possible that is why Laryssa does not seem to have much in the way of negative feelings toward her father. She views his job as being extremely important and necessary but when the serious stuff goes down he is right there with them. She idolizes the man and honestly wants to be an Auror just like him. In addition to being a bit sickly as a child, Ryssa also had a knack for injuring herself. Her mother often jokes that if it is possible to break a bone doing something, Ryssa has done it three times already. For a while Maxim even called her Ms. Glass because she seemed to heal one break only to pop up with another the next day. Thankfully as she got older she seemed to grow stronger and more resilient which was a good thing as her daredevil ways did not lessen over time. She would often challenge bullies twice her size, or take on crazy dares and challenges, or just come up with harebrained schemes that were unnecessarily dangerous. She often appears to be fearless but in truth she is just the sort to force herself to face her fears in an attempt to live up to her fathers image. After entering Hogwarts, Ryssa has mellowed some. She's still crazy and loves a good adrenaline rush but she no longer thinks of facing danger as a game. She wants to be an Auror so she has to take her studies seriously but she also leaves plenty of room for fun. Likes: Anything that gets the adrenaline pumping!, staying active, shopping, learning new stuff, sparring with her father and brother, dueling, DADA, cuddling and being affectionate in general Dislikes: Bullies, cowards, thieves, the fact that the Dark Arts are no longer taught, Fears: Failure. ALEKSANDRA VEGA-OLIVIER Character's Birthdate: February 11th, 1992 Hometown: Originally Moscow, Russia, Now Surrey, England Blood Status: Half-Blood House: Ravenclaw - 6th year Wand: 11 5/8" Elm with Dragon Heartstring core Hair: Blonde Eyes: Hazel Height: 5'10" Personality: Aleksandra takes after her mother who was a Ravenclaw in her time at Hogwarts. She is highly intelligent and this is the thing she values most about herself. The face she presents to the world is confident, sharp, intelligent, and focused. In fact, Aleksandra, or Aleksa as her siblings call her, can often appear to have a one track mind since she rarely seems to deviate from the plans she has set for herself. In her daily life logic and reason are very important to her. She is always careful about any decision she has to make, weighing the pros and cons and making lists until she feels she has reached the correct conclusion. However, while on the outside Aleksa almost always appears cool, calm, and collected, deep down below the layers of caution and self-restraint lies a passionate woman full of longings and desires who so rarely gets to come out and play. Due to her lack of experience she is most certainly naïve when it comes to lust, love, and relationships and in purely social situations she can become a bit shy and awkward, even seeming cold and standoffish if she is too far out of her comfort zone. MAXIM VEGA-OLIVIER Character's Birthdate: February 11th, 1992 Hometown: Originally Moscow, Russia, Now Surrey, England Blood Status: Half-Blood House: Hufflepuff - 6th year Wand: 11 5/8" Beech with Phoenix Feather core Hair: Brown Eyes: Green Height: 6'1" Personality: Maxim seems possess attributes that could easily fit in each of the four houses, yet his abilities to keep a positive attitude and outlook and to remain steadfast and loyal are what the sorting hat picked up on and thus he was sorted into Hufflepuff. In contrast to his sister, the face Maxim presents to the world is rather laid-back and even charming. Quite an amiable fellow, he is a fun loving guy with a big heart who tends to look on the bright side of things wherever he can. Where his twin often seems to unintentionally ruffle feathers, he is usually able to calm others down and even put a smile on their face with a natural ease. He is for the most part a people pleaser who often puts others first. He loves to see people laughing and happy and can't abide tears or sadness. Having grown up in a house full of emotional women, Maxim has learned that he can be brave and bold when needed--though he is nowhere near as gutsy as his younger sister--as well as apply logic and reason when necessary, but his greatest strength lies in his ability to simply roll with the punches and take whatever life throws at him with grace, optimism, and a touch of humor. He is a hard man to anger or insult. About: Aleksandra and Maxim are fraternal twins born 24 minutes apart (she is older). They are remarkably different from each other in almost every way yet still share a special bond between them that is truly unbreakable. As kids they both showed their first signs of magical ability in the same day, though Maxim was the first with Aleksa almost seeming to study him before making her own attempt. Aleksa was diagnosed with dyslexia early on and was picked on as a kid while Maxim seemed to have it much easier. She was incredibly shy and poured herself into her studies with grim determination to shut her tormentors up, while he seemed to have a natural way about him that made enemies few and far between. As a good brother should, he did his best to protect and look after her but being in separate classes he often was simply not around to act as a buffer for her. Still, Maxim is perhaps the one person, aside from Laryssa, to know the real Aleksa that simmers beneath the surface. These days Aleksa is the more intimidating of the two while Maxim remains seemingly as laid-back and carefree as ever. Despite being in separate houses (which did not come as a surprise to either of them) they still spend quite a bit of time together. Aleksa helps him stay up on his studies and Maxim makes her laugh, keeping her from withdrawing entirely and perhaps becoming like their rather bitter mother. No one who does not know already would ever guess Aleksa is dyslexic as she takes great pains to be sure it does not stand in her way. Neither twin is overly fond of their father, though they love him. Laryssa has a rather romanticized view of the man but they are always on guard around him: Aleksa becoming rather stiff and formal and Maxim using humor to keep the man at a distance.

Terrance Olivier

Character's Birthdate: June 15th, 1967 Blood Status: Halfblood Residence: Surrey, England House: Gryffindor Alumnus Occupation: Believed to have become some sort of wizard financial planner by his father and brother but is actually the equivalent of an Auror for the Russian Ministry of Magic About: About: After growing up the only magic wielding member of a supposedly muggle family, Terrance was all too happy to disassociate himself from his intolerant father. Unfortunately, that also had the effect of distancing him from his older brother who was often caught in the middle of him and his father. Immediately after graduation, he followed his longtime sweetheart, Tatyana Konstantinov-Vega (a Ravenclaw Alumna), back to Russia with the intent to start up a life with her. However, rather than settle down and get married right away, both applied to be Aurors under the Russian Ministry and worked together after training was completed. Things changed once they found out Tatyana was pregnant. She wanted to be a stay at home mom while Terrance wanted to continue doing what he did best. He enjoyed his career and didn't want to give it up. He did marry Tatyana and attempt to be a steady partner and father but after the birth of the twins and then Laryssa so soon afterward, he found himself growing restless. Soon he began taking on more dangerous assignments and spending more and more time away from home. Finally the two agreed that there were just too many differences between them to ignore. He was never going to be able to be the man she needed/wanted so they went their separate ways. He still made sure to see his kids when he could, even moving them and their mother to Surrey after they agreed the kids should attend Hogwarts, but he found himself handling far more responsibilities career wise--especially during the second wizarding war--and so wasn't around nearly as much as he'd have liked. To date he has had a very poor track record with keeping his promises, something that eats at him and that he wishes to change. He knows his kids aren't happy with him and he wants to try and make things right with them, not to mention he's had an on/off relationship with Drusilla Grimbald for nearly 9 years. He and Dru were once engaged but she broke it off when she realized his penchant for failing to keep promises. He has a special interest in Ollie as the boy seems to be more like him at that age than like his brother or father.
