She is fiercely loyal, firstly to her family and then to Huffelpuff and her friends. She is a hard worker but knows the benefit of enjoying herself. How did she react at sorting? She was nervous and apprehensive at first but knowing her older sister Maia was in the room helped. She believes in part that because she was wishing so hard to be with her sister, the hat sorted her in to Hufflepuff. Sincere and gentle you always are to everyone you love. There is no other house you belong than within Hufflepuff. Are her parents former house mates of her house? The families home until then had been a very small two bedroom house in London and with this promotion, they moved the family to Yorkshire, just outside the village of Flagley. An old four bedroomed farm house in need of repair but with an acre of land attached became Theia and her sisters playground. She loved growing up there, smog free and carefree. She is a pleasant girl with a very amiable nature but often times dreads the day when she will have to truly grow up and leave the nest.

She puts time and effort into her homework assignments and studying for exams. Always helpful and conscientious. How did she react at sorting? She was mildly surprised thinking she might be in one of her parents houses, but on later reflection realised that Hufflepuff was simply the perfect pairing of both Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. Are her parents former house mates of her house? Two years ahead of her sibling, didn't make much difference at all when Theia eventually started school, the sisters were still as tight as ever and even though Maia had made plenty of her own friends, she still spent as often as she could with Theia ... without trying to cramp Theia from making her own friends. Getting her Hogwarts letter was thrilling and now with her NEWTs ahead of her, she feels the pressure of exams looming. With her sister having started at Hogwarts in September 2012, it feels almost like home again.

He was extremely concerned about how such many magical beasts and beings were being treated and wanted to do all he could for them. After knowing Calypso in school a small bit, he got to know her far better when she came to work in the same department in 1984. In 1986 he was transferred to the Beast Division and this was the year he also began dating Calypso Shalamane. In 1989, he was promoted again, this time to the small office of the Dragon Research and Restraint Bureau. By 1990 himself and Calypso were engaged and in the summer of 1992 were married. His first daughter Maia was born in 1994, while Theia was born in 1995. A year later in 1996, he was promoted to the head of his department.

She is an activist and can never sit still for long, has continually fought for better rights for part-human vampires and for werewolves. Dislikes being labelled as soon as people know which family she heralds from. Is compassionate and intelligent. A little Deeper: Calypso the only daughter of Secundus Shalamane and Persephone Flynnt became a vast disappointment to her pureblood family when she began dating Lycus Erling, a halfblood who originated from some hovel in Scotland, as they had constantly pointed out to her. She worked hard through her school years and went straight to the ministry after graduating from Hogwarts. She began her internship in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures in August,1984 and worked there for five years. A year after her transfer to the Being Division within the department, she got engaged to Lycus Erling and they subsequently married in 1992. That was the same year she was promoted to the Treatment of Non-Wizard Part Humans office. With maternity leave in 1994 and 1995 to take, any further promotion seemed a long way off the cards but she didn't really mind as the family moved from London to Yorkshire to raise the children. It was not until 2003 that she finally received the promotion that she still holds which is the department head of the ToNWPH office. With no other plans for expanding their family, she had thrown herself into her job and into raising her two girls, missing them both terribly when Theia the youngest finally left the roost to head to Hogwarts in September 2012. Neither parent were surprised that their girls got sorted to Hufflepuff instead of one of their own, it seemed fitting for their personalities. Calypso is still very much estranged from her pureblood family but she genuinely doesn't let it phase her.
