Hastur
Hastur is the put upon god of Magic. He is quite possibly the angriest god in the universe, for he received his present domain as a result of the spite of Hecate. As the exclusive god of magic, Hastur has to review and grant each and every wish spell cast in the cosmos, and that is only one of the many many annoyances that come with his position. The only thing that brings Hastur pleasure is to torture the unfortunate souls he has managed to drag to his domain in Carcosa, and he has managed to slowly create an impressive army of demons. Hastur appears as a large and imposing figure in yellow robes, with a face that causes insanity to look upon. Hastur's fury is such that anyone who speaks the name Hastur three times in vain will soon face the wrath of his servants, the Byakhee. An individual who defeats the Byakhee but continues to speak the name of Hastur will be attacked personally by the god himself.

Temples: The temples of Hastur are vast libraries patterned after the architecture of Carcosa. They lure in magicians by having complete copies of the Encyclopedia Arcane on hand, and often make great efforts to convert magic users to the worship of Hastur. The Unnamable wants as many souls to torture as he can possibly get his hands on, and will direct his wrath at his own clerics if they do not send enough souls to him.
