A child of a god, yes. There are so far 6 pantheons to choose from. So far we have children of Baron Samedi, Freja, Apollo and Ares, and I'm sure I forgot someone.

Anansi? The spider dude? Well, the story seems to take place in Africa, so it would be fitting I suppose. But he is not mentioned in the rules, so you'd have to take it up with der Spielführer.

The core book already has stats for one Scion who's not from any of the six pantheons, so it's not unreasonable at all, but you'd have to work with Muse to figure out what powers Anansi favors.

In that case, I am certain that he would favor Epic Charisma, Epic Manipulation, and Epic Intelligence.  Probably Animal (Spider) and Magic as well (Anansi was a magical sort, if I recall right), and maybe Chaos.  I have no idea what the pantheon-specific power would be for whatever group he comes from.

There's not really anything in the game that supports webs, exactly, but there's an Epic Dexterity Knack that makes you a ridiculously good climber.

Suckness: TONS of Purviews, but only one Epic attribute, Charisma.

Boons are basically agreed to be nowhere CLOSE to as helpful as Epic Attributes.

My character's parent, Baron Samedi, has about 8 Favored Purviews, but only a single Epic Attribute, Charisma, which practically every god has.

Purview, in the sense I'm using it here, is a 'favored' Boon type.

*chuckles*  If  you really want to do Anansi, I'm all for it.  I loved the few of his stories I heard on NPR.
