Will you be playing a baddie yourself?

As this is a GM-driven game, I'll be playing the "world" the characters adventure in.  So yes, I'll be playing a variety of characters, some good, some shady, and some downright nasty.

I'm also not setting any ceiling on the number of "good" or "evil" characters.  Still hoping for some male baddies alongside (or in competition with) the females.

Name: Steve Clark
Age: 30
Occupation: Crime Lord
Location: Washington, D.C.

Steve Clark has always been a go-getter.  It's just that he's usually gone and gotten quite illegally.  He started out as a simple street thug, collecting protection money and gambling debts, then worked his way up the ladder to become one of the most dangerous organized criminal figures on the East coast.  He's currently in Washington having personal visits to some powerful politicians to ensure that the war on drugs continues, keeping his profit margins high.  He's not above committing crime to get what he wants, and that's in a civilized world.

Tall and well-built from perfecting the "street tough" image, Steve has short dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes.  He dresses well, as a man of his means and position should, but his long-sleeved, custom tailored shirts cover full sleeve tattoos depicting his life of crime and excess.

Steve is used to getting what he wants, and cutting down anyone who stands in his way.  While not a true sociopath, he is narcissistic and will stop at nothing to secure his power, strength, and fortune.

Sounds like a winner...er...a viable character, I mean.  Flesh him out with a description and some strengths and weaknesses, and he'll make a fine addition to the game.

James Brandenburg, Psycho Cop.  James believes in Order.  Order depends on people cooperating, doing what they're supposed to do.  When people cooperate, things are easy, and Officer Brandenburg doesn't have to work overtime.  When people cooperate, families can raise children, old people can go outside without getting mugged, people can live their lives, and the world is a pretty nice place to be.  When people don't cooperate, things break down.  The System breaks down.  The world stops being a nice place to be, even if it's just in one neighborhood.  People who make the world a bad place to be are Assholes.  Assholes deserve to die.  As a police officer, Officer James Brandenburg is the ideal person to assess an individual's Assholic-ness and shoot them down like a dog.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Hmm...interesting concept, but...

This really isn't a dungeon crawl.  If your character enters the game with the intention of liquidating people one by one, he'll likely be taking a dirt nap himself before long.  My baddies can and do shoot back.  This might not be the right game for that particular character as written there.  See if you can flesh him out, maybe give him some attributes and goals beyond being the love-child of the Terminatrix and Dirty Harry.  :D

The fleshings-out can be public...if there are especially salacious details, or aspects that you wish to remain hidden from the group, you can PM me.

Brianna (Bri) Phillips

Bri is the mixed race daughter of a poor black mother and even poorer white father. She was born when her mother was only fifteen and her father killed less than a year later. When Bri turned four, her mother was arrested for prostitution and possession and sentenced to twenty years during the DA’s ‘Tough on Drugs’ campaign. Bri bounced around foster homes and schools until being sent to live with her grandmother. She quickly became involved in the gang scene, later forming her own gang with a bunch of kids from the neighboring streets and driving out or incorporating rivals. At sixteen she accidentally knifed a cop who was trying to break up a fight and was sentenced to two years in juvie. She was released after a year and resumed her spot as one of her gang’s leaders. After she hit eighteen she dropped out of school, and is currently working with some crime contacts she recently made to increase the presence and territory of her gang.
She isn’t necessarily a bad or cruel person, she just knows the world is tough and feeds on the weak, and she is determined never to be that weak. Truth be told, she would love to get out of the scene she is in, but is too scared to try and escape the only life she knows.

Luke Reynolds is an independent long-haul trucker.  He has a sleeper bed in his truck and makes the run from coast to coast hauling whatever needs hauling.  He's no mechanic but he can do minor automotive repairs.  He's a bit of gambler, usually wins more than he loses, mostly because he can hold his liquor.  He prefers to hang out in bars instead of truck stops, is hooked on mild amphetimaines (no doze / caffeine /etc.).  He sleeps in his sleeper cab and doesn't have permanent roots.  He has a shotgun mounted behind him in his truck and carries a knife.  He'll pick up any woman hitchiking alone and they'll always pay their fare.  He has a bottle of roofies and doesn't mind slipping them in drinks, but he prefers to simply get them drunk.  He's smuggled illegals from Mexico strictly for the money and isn't a very nice guy but isn't evil enough to be a villian.  He's more of an opportunist with an eye for looking out for number one and knowing when he can bend the rules because no one will ever know or if they do know won't give a damn.

Luke is most likely on the highway between stops when the story starts but he could pull into any city as meets the GMs needs.

Straight from my NYC cabbie initally intended for AFMBE use.. but I guess she can slide into this as well:

Name: Lane Cassidy
Age:24
Occupation: Cabbie.

Living under the rule of her grandfather had never been easy for Lane, she was always wanting to sneak out to smoke, drink and party. He never let her do anything ever, however being the carefree spirit that she is the young lady eagerly slipped out of the house to go do those things that weren't allowed. With it came her street-smartness. Even leading to Lane being 'rescued' by Little Donnie, a young italian who worked at Donnie's pizza.

He finally became her first boyfriend, her grandfather angered enough that she was placed on the street. No problem she thought and no problem it was as Donnie took her in, placed her into there cabbie section. Making sure his girl was all taken care off, shit started to hit the fan. Donnie got into a workplace accident they called it, leading to Lane's already 'party cigarette's' to pick up. Within a few weeks a pack.. or two a day were nothing for the young lady.

Placing her mind in other things she worked lower hours for the cab company, learning how to play music. She found that mind, song and guitar worked for her. So with her long history of badness things were finally starting to look up for Lane.. or weren't they?

Personality:

Lane's a carefree, let life kind of person. She doesn't get bothered or annoyed to much by anyone. There isn't a thing that she wouldn't do for her friends however, supporting them wherever she can. But Lane's streetsmart enough to know, that sometimes you need to fuck someone over to get where you wanna go. And when push comes to shove, she isn't scared too.. or so she says.

And the cabbie from New York has won herself a spot...welcome aboard.

We're getting close to the start of the movie, folks.  The last of the background music is playing.  If you want to grab any refreshments from the concession stand, now would be a good time to go.  If you're still outside the theater, you'd better grab your ticket very soon.

Andrew Johnson aka Drew

Male
26
Peoria IL

Born and raised as the oldest from a family of 5, Drew was always the one left in charge of things when it came to housework and keeping his siblings in line.  Having to work and go to school through much of his high school and well into his college life at a community college, Drew has learned that not everything can be achieved with the shortcomings of taking shortcuts and having someone else do work that was meant for you.  Always a bright outlook on life rather then sulking in the fact that life hasnt given him a break yet, he lives up to his rep of hard work and dedication to everything he does.  Whether its housework, yardwork, helping out his siblings and family, schoolwork, or just work in general.  Drew is slated to the theory that the success one deals in life is not by the bank in ones pocket but by the joy in ones heart of the things they do.

Hank Kane

Male, Age: 36, Philadelphia
Shady

Hank was a contractor for a commercial construction company specialising in office buildings and office space. He started off as a jack-of-all trades and a handyman but soon his talent and leadership skills landed him his last job, which was high paying and prestigious. He was very good at what he did, but in the past few years he started drinking, and his attitude soured.

This shift in attitude was caused by several things; first off, after his wife caught him cheating on her, she took the house and most of his money, leaving him with the truck and whatever could fit in the back. He fell into a depression soon thereafter and started drinking heavily. The pressures of the job and Union caused him to have very little downtime, so besides his work all he did was frequent the bars, or drank alone, every night.

Everything changed when he showed up for work one morning still drunk and this caused the dismemberment of a co-worker. Hank is awaiting trial for reckless endangerment leading to injury and is forbidden from working while suspended. He still drinks rather heavily and lives out of his heavy duty, extended cab pickup truck. The truck is a relatively new Dodge Ram truck. His tools, an ATV and everything else he owns is locked up in the back of the truck.

How's this?

*******

Tony Saint

Freelancer

If you wanted someone dead, he was one to call.  It didn't matter to him.  Men, women, children.  He would give you a discount if it was the whole family.  He prefers it up close and personal.  A double barreled shotgun burst to the face will turn someone's face into hamburger meat.  Or, if you want something more personal.  He can rape the wife and teenage daughter and cut them up real nice.  Whatever the message is, he'll send it for you.  He only has one rule.  He doesn't shit in his own back yard.  San Antonio is home and he won't kill in the state of Texas.  Anywhere else is fair game.

He grew up in San Antonio, around the latin influence, and all the bad stuff that went with it.  He was a lookout from the time he was 10 till he was 15.  Then, he was given his initiation.  It was a hit on a rival gang member.  He remembered it.  He snuck into the guys house, it was a dead night.  He remembered his heart racing.  Before he could do it, the guy woke up.  Before he could cry out, Tony picked up his baseball bat and beat the guy head in, till he was unrecognizable.  As a reward for his good work, he was given one of the gang bitches.  That was how it all started.

Do you still have room?

My two character ideas:

1.   A do-gooder type, like a nurse or social worker in a busy urban setting (probably LA).

2.  A real arrogant and stuck up heiress or fashion model who will really gets her comeuppance when the world falls apart.

Sorry, my bad, the Dramatis Personae is slightly out of date.  I'm updating now.
