As the civil war ends in the United States Slavery still exists on the Island Republic of Peli.
Civil war is possible there as well as the early settlers mostly from the south are now being challenged by an influx of fortune hunters drawn by gold.
The streets and alleys of Century city can be a battlefield after dark as tong fight tong, slavers and abolitionists fight and gold miners combat each other.
In this chaos a band of gifted individuals seeks to maintain order and combat evil.
