Sheikah and Gerudo- Gerudo: The Gerudo Pirates are the Gerudo inhabitants of Termina. They are led by Aveil. Little is known about the history of the Pirates, but it appears that, like the Hyrulean Gerudos, the race is either primarily or entirely female. The Pirates inhabit a large fortress in the Great Bay, and it is possible that this is the home of the Hyrulean Gerudo, who were said to have sailed to Hyrule from a land far in the west.Gender

It would be a day she would never forget. That night she over heard her mother and the leader of her people talking near the door way of their so called “home” with in the might desert fort. That night she learned about the man her mother never once spoke about -her flesh and blood father.- Then again men where rarely talked about among the desert women. Unless it was about new of there lord and king: Ganondorf even after ages have come and gone sense his fall. Zayla had always thought her father to be yet another poor soul from Hyrule or some other realm, but never a race of being that legend itself whispered about like shadows in the night. Then again Zayla always knew she was different from her sisters. Eyes of red instead of gold like the desert sand, her hair slightly darker then the red her people normally worn upon their head. Her body build was slightly different, but it helped in the line of work she was trained to do. Like all of the women of this land she had been trained to fight and guard her home, even in times of peace she found herself a wonderful dancer.
However, unlike the many guards outside their new fort now found in the Great Bay, she had been trained to be a shadow inside it. Trained with those two powerful twin blades, a bow and other items of stealth it was not hard to see now why she was so good at this art when so many of her sisters took year upon years to train in it. After all the “Shadow People” like they where so often called where told to be naturals in such things and thus the race’s nickname and like the blood of her mother these peoples blood ran threw her veins as well.
At once she was struck with anger as well as the longing to find this dieing race and learn of her father. Yet at the same time it was weird to her to feel such things for a man. After all, most of her kind never knew their father nor cared to learn about them. Yet, something inside her told her different. She needed to find him and learn about the race that now danced around in her veins. This race that myths talked about and the elders kept in whispers.
It didn’t take long for Zayla to get her powerful mare ready. The desert horse seeming uneasy about her mistress’ dreams of leaving the fort and her people. Little did she know someone she loved dearly, even if she was angry with her for keeping such a secret, was hiding in the shadows. Watching her child ready herself for a journey that could very well end in heart break as it could with happiness. The words of her mother still ringing in her ears to this day. I was going to tell you sooner or later my dear beloved child. But it seems that you found out before I was ready. Then again I will never be ready to tell you goodbye. Its for the best, even our leader agrees that your father’s blood line puts you in grave danger with our People. If they would ever find out what your father was….I would not be able to save you so you could see your last sun rise. Go and ride fast before your sisters find you gone and marked a trader. Before they find out the truth that can no longer be hidden in your eyes.
It was not long after those words her mother gave her a bag of clothing. After all, after Ganondorf fall all those years ago people still outlawed there race and where no longer welcome in most areas of Hyrule. Driven from there home the Gerudo Desert. These new clothes would hide her true self from her desert race as well. The clothing of her father’s people, the “Eye of Truth” printed deep into the cloth that hung from her body. Bandages, worn cloths, light leather armor and belts seemed to cover every inch of her body now. Her face hidden by a bright red cloak like scarf. Hell, it would be hard to tell her from a man or woman in this attire little less if what race she was besides that of the “Shadow People.”
