Sigil Prep
« on: April 17, 2007, 02:05:55 AM »
Well, two wonderful people are running one on one games for me, so I thought I might offer to run a game here that I find fun and interesting, and see what the response is like.

The game is called Sigil Prep. I once ran it as a tabletop, and there are a few games of it floating around online. This game would of course carry a higher rating than the others.

Premise: Take Planescape (the multi-planar anything-goes D&D world). Add a teen movie. Add Harry Potter. Add a high-school romance/comedy anime. Add a "Let's make fun of D&D!" webcomic. For this one, add a hentai, or regular porn/erotica or whatever. Mix it all together. I did not come up with the game/setting, but it's available for all to view: http://www.sigilprep.com/

Players would all be first-years, starting their new life at this wonderful school/Uni. I figure the rules can be used to make the character sheets, then a fair bit of leeay will be given throughout the game, mostly freeforming it.

What you can expect:

Sex
It's a high school/University. Of course there's sex. People get together for a relationship or quick fling all the time.
-Weird races will quite possibly be featuring, based on what you play and want
-Rape? Well, even without all the tentacle monsters (mind flayers etc.) it could still happen. Let me know if you want that, so I know which category to put the game in.
-Some of the curricular activities (adventures/mini-dungeoncrawls) will be sexually themed, and thus quite bizarre.

Fetishes/Kinky stuff
-If you want to make it happen, then make it happen. If you want me to make it happen, let me know. I'm not setting a "You can't do X" rule
(other than what's outlined in the site rules, naturally)
-Considering it's high-magic, you can easily make the bizarre or impossible occur. Have fun
-In accordance with my Ons, you can expect various uniforms to be described, and adventurers to have stylish outfits
-Likewise, there'll be various "almost human" races, and Succubi, and a few others.
-Once again, because of my Ons, rule infractions will be punished with spankings, and there may even be a spanking-themed dungeon.
-With that said, you may want to really make sure you insert your Ons to make it enjoyable for all

What I'm after:
A few players. I could make this a 1 on 1 game, or we could have a small handful of players. Basically any race or monster is allowed, however the game starts at 3rd level, so if it's a high-ECL monster, you'll need to slowly grow into the finished creature. Throw ideas at me. Heck, for now, just say if you're interested.

Currently gathering interest. It might be a little while before anything comes of this idea, or I might start things really quickly.

... Planescape, Harry Potter, anime, D&D parody, and hentai... Wait, did I write this, or something?

Tis sounds awesome... I'd love to get in on it. =)

Heh, any race or monster is allowed? Does this mean I could play my faerie dragoness character I've been dying to play? ;)

Why yes, yes it does. In Sigil Prep games I've played, ran or witnessed, I have seen the following races:
Humans
A Cat Hengeyokai (see: catgirl)
A mind flayer
A winter wolf
A multiheaded shadow half white dragon blue dragon
A platinum dragon (clone of Bahamut)
A yuan-ti abomination
A gnome
A halfling
A School Spiritfolk
A tiefling
An aasimar
An awakened cat
A red dragon
A nymph

The list goes on, really. So yes, you can play your faerie-dragoness character. Are you referring to the "Faerie-Dragon" from the Draconomicon?

And Jeramiahh, glad to have you on the team.

I wasn't too happy with how they did faerie dragons in Draconomicon, but that's the only one they've got as far as I know that would be the one I'd have to use. My physical description would probably deviate slightly from how they typically describe, if only because I already have a picture drawn of my dragoness, gosh darn it!

Does this mean I can play too?

Sure thing!

And there are other options - half-dragon fey creatures, half-fey dragons... Or we could work something out together. I'm pretty easy going, and I enjoy designing stuff.

Yay! I'm sure we'll be able to work something out, character-wise. Since the stats will be pretty secondary and all (at least, that's the impression I got.)

Hmm, I'll admit though that (as anyone who has gone through my on/offs and game ideas can attest to) that I'm keen on rape in these games, but...I don't want my preferences to dictate a game, either. I know you mentioned it as an option, but...well, I imagine it'd be something worked out among all the players and you.

Sounds like good fun to me too, though I've not had a chance to check out the rules yet  :) Put me down as definitely interested though, if there's still room.

Yeah, the stats are indeed pretty secondary, for the most part. You'll have the stats, they'll work as a guide to what you can do, and you can get the joy of leveling up, but generally we'll freeform stuff. Or maybe I'll do all the rolling, and assign bonuses based on how good a job people are doing/how much fun results from stuff.

And in the bedroom, needless to say the rules get left at the door.

Yes, TheAlchemist, there is indeed still room.

I figure the ability scores can be "Choose numbers between 3 and 18, then add racial modifiers, final Intelligence can't be less than 6". I trust everyone to be mature about this.

2,700 GP starting equipment, and if it's not magical, assume it's free - you can have a million waterclocks or tents, and it's not going to really affect things.

I'm trying to find something about this concept that isn't awesome, and so far I'm failing miserably.

Please list me as 'interested'.  I look forward to any discussion/development... what can we do to help this get off the ground?

Awesome, it appears five people are interested!

In that case, the ball is rolling. So, throw character ideas at me and we can start work on this.
Incidentally, if it's a monster race, I'll take a look and tell you what *I* think the actual Level Adjustment is. I consider the WotC ones to be exaggerated to the extreme.

So, just for now, I'd like:
Basics: Race, Class, Sex
Concept: If you can sum them up in a sentence or describe them in a paragraph, that'd be great.
Interests: That is, the Ons you want fulfilled.

Feel free to bombard me with a whole bunch of ideas.

I don't know where the hell this twisted idea came from, but it hit me halfway to class this afternoon... still need a name for him, though.

Race: Half-Satyr, Half-Succubus
Class: If the LA and HD don't keep him in levels until Epic, probably Bard, fitting with the Satyr
Sex: Male
Alignment: CN

Concept: Mommy Succubus and Daddy Satyr, the embodiments of Good and Evil Chaotic sexuality, fall in love and have kids. Their oldest, and the only male of the 11 children they've produced so far, is this character. Unlike the daughters, who emphasize the incredible beauty of both the Nymph and the Succubus, he looks like a fairly effeminate Satyr, a creature that's supposed to exude the same level of rugged maleness that Chuck Norris does.

To make his problems worse, despite being a creature of pure sexuality, he's fairly reserved about sex in general. Or maybe 'desensitized' would be a bit closer; when mommy and daddy fuck wildly at the drop of a hat, it sort of loses it's mystique fairly quickly. In fact, he's so reserved, he's still a virgin at the age of majority; most of his sisters have already been with multiple partners, only further fueling his reservations. His parents are hoping that, maybe, Sigil Prep can bring him to his senses. Or at least get him laid.

Wait, is he supposed to be a half-fiend satyr or a half-satyr incubus?  (WotC did publish an article recently on adjusting the half-fiend template depending on the parent fiend's stats.)

I still need to devise my concept, though...hmm...

*shrug* Idea came first, practicality came second. I see him in my mind's eye as being more Satyr, but I'll leave it up to the DM to hammer out just what the hell this parentage creates.

Half-fiend satyr would probably make more sense and be easier to swallow, ECL-wise (depending on how our esteemed DM adjusts the relevant LAs).  The WotC article is here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20060630a  (the half-succubus adjustments are in Part Three)

Well, four players have already given me ideas. How about the others?

For the record, I like everything I've been shown so far, so this should be fun.

Yay!

Kylessa Hollybough.  Fey Kissed Sun Elf Female Swashbuckler 1, Elf Wizard 1, majoring in Bladesinger, minoring in Performance.

Born in Silverymoon, Kylessa was aprenticed to a master bladesinger at a young age and kind fo railroaded into taking the Bladesinger's oath when she was barely old enough to understand the ramifications.  (60 or so.)

Sworn to not only aid elves in need, but also uphold the elven way, Kylessa's been looking for the leven way ever since.  She left Silverymoon hafter having to kill a friend of hers because she was murdering moon elves who took human lovers in the name of the Eldreth Veluthra.  More than a little shook up by this, she left behidn the band she loved, and has come here seeking, not only training, but also a better understanding of the elven way.

Oh, and don't forget new music!

What's a "fey kissed?"

IIRC, it's from the Book of Erotic fantasy. A template that represents either having a small amount of fey heritage, or simply being closely associated with fey long enough for some of the magic to rub off.

It's LA +1 and gives you a few nifty benefits.

Why not use the feytouched race from the Fiend Folio, and just allow Muse to play a bladesinger on the assumption that the non-feytouched/half-fey parent was an elf?  The feykissed template seems pretty painful for a warrior-type, even if you don't object to that book on general principle.
