Red State Trailer: Thoughts on the horror flick by Kevin Smith

as many of you may or may not know Kevin Smith has finished his new movie "Red State" and unlike is previous films this is a horror film and from early impressions and the awesome looking trailer I have a feeling it will be good any thoughts?

I don't think Kevin Smith has done anything really special since Clerks.  I used to like stuff like Mallrats, Dogma, and to a lesser extent Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, but as I get older that kind of humor wears thinner and thinner.  Maybe doing a horror film will shake things up enough to where it doesn't feel like "Oh, another Kevin Smith movie.  Yay. : / "

yes I agree with that to some degree, it really looks like he was trying to break away from that,(kind of what he tried with copout and failed but thats a tale for another day)
