[Geil]

The patrons are rapt, as the dervish entrances

them. Who will she chose now to partner her moves?

[Xandria]

To take time in the choosing, it always behooves

Aloof and unyielding, sweeping gaze appraising

[gaggedLouise]

With the flute weaving sensuous garlands over the spacing

of the tunes, the lady watches many faces that seem in her power

[Xandria]

To the drunkards she gives naught but a glower

Content to sip cocktails, she sways to the jazzy, hip music beat

[Geil]

Is there none present here who is up to the feat

Of bravado that is to approach her and ask

[gaggedLouise]

What she thinks of the Man in the Iron Mask?

"He didn't want to get saved by a woman", is that what she'd reply?

[Xandria]

A compelling tale of betrayal and woe, this I can't deny

Royal tragedies, Kings and treason, sometimes loosely based on fact

Lies of Kings and Treason of Ministers merged into a dirty pact

"Interesting," the lady lies, "but I did not come here to hear

"Tales of bygone kings." Perhaps the next suitor will have more luck?

[Xandria]

Much depends I do believe, on whether a bargain is struck

To dance under the stars at night, will one such suitor demand?

[Geil]

A gentleman now ventures forth and offers her his hand.

Wordlessly he glances to the door; a psychic, he, has understood her need.

[Xandria]

Fleeting curiosity, a smile bestowed, she does agree

His hand she takes and now they waltz, under summer's starlit sky

[Geil]

The music from inside the bar fades slowly as the time sneaks by

replaced by swishes of long skirts on grass, by sighs and beating hearts.

[Xandria]

Lavender streaking first light of dawn, one last round of music starts

Gazing dreamy these two now dance, a bit of magic left to chance

[Mordred]

The crazy orb in the black above, sends silvery strands to quiver and prance

Sparks of light we call the stars, in their rows they witness the scene

[Xandria]

Swaying gently tête à tête, in a garden of roses fragrant and green

In their eyes a sense of wonder, sparkling bewitching spell now weaves

[Mordred]

Such a tendril of power it is, images even form within the leaves

Complex patterns of brown and green, more than the eye can understand

[Xandria]

Entwining divine perfection, through the breeze it does expand

Pulsing light enchanted, a ribbon of rippling hues

[Geil]

Weaving this chromatic sash in their wake twixt the rose bushes, dancing, they cruise

Tracing a puissant sigil through this twilight waltz vigil. Expectant, they crave the full dawn.

Yet some that lurk in shadows do hope that ball of flame stay gone

Senses darkly drive these beings as they wait for the vein's wild song

[Xandria]

A whispered seduction to immortal hunger, warm thrumming pulse so strong

Captured dancers swaying silent, Aurora paints dew's morning brilliance

[Mordred]

She sends those brushes to and fro, upon the landscape for their dalliance

Whispers hushes fill the scene as these sparkling hoards do their bit o' magic

[Xandria]

A gift of nature's subtle beauty, to never gaze upon it would be tragic

For those sparkling drops do sweetly kiss, every rose bud softly waiting

[Mordred]

As if from a wand the drops appear, upon the petals to do their mating

Some have said, and this is bold, that the stars sleep as drops of dew

[Xandria]

Trembling they shimmer as jewels in the sun, reflecting the promise of each day anew

For those who believe and open their hearts, this enchantment awakens creativity's spark
