Race: A Jara, of the Veren race.
Relationship Status: Single
Origin: From the kingdom of Kalto on Amtgaurd.
Skin: Rich Tan
Hair; Golden brown in a long ponytail.
Other: Jara men can easily be mistaken for large humans when clothed. Their major anatomical difference is the double phallus. The kanji for strength is permanently visible over his heart and can pass for a tattoo ‘til he calls upon it for truly superhuman feats of strength.
Style: Kade prefers to wear brown leather pants and open vests with matching fingerless gloves in casual settings. For formal occasions, he brushes his hair to a golden sheen, shaves with great care, and dons an immaculate military uniform from his homeland, or when on Terra, a Tokyo University uniform.
Date of Birth: April 7th, 1988
Place of Birth: Nine Lakes, Kalto.
Citizenship: Swore fealty to Queen Gaza of Kalto at his coming of age.
Personality: A cheerful and romantic fellow, polite and gentle hearted. He moves cautiously around those smaller than himself, and becomes increasingly more delicate in his treatment of those he meets the smaller they are.
People tend to forget how large he is after a little while, ‘til they see him riled. He is not easily angered by personal affronts, but protective of his friends and the innocent. To harm them is not unlike rousing a wrathful grizzly.
Background: A clan of Jara migrant laborers settled in Nine Lakes, a rapidly growing metropolitan area in the predominantly human kingdom of Kalto. Morn and his two wives, Naya and Ria, started a family. Fertile and successful, they had 5 daughters and 3 sons. With only enough inheritance to start a household for two sons, the third, Kade, had a somewhat feminine education, focused on soldiering and labor rather than home economics and household defense.
In hopes of bettering his station, Kade sat in line for 19 hours on his Name day to swear fealty to the Queen personally rather than a representative, and begged a boon of her, to be considered by her eldritch knights as a man at arms.
Queen Gaza was pleased by his request and arranged an appointment with Sir Geoffrey. Geoffrey tested the lad, and took him into his service. Geoffrey was assigned to keep tabs on the activities of the remainder of the Hevalon Circle. They discovered the Circle’s interest in Terra in Kade’s nineteenth year and a small group crossed over to investigate. They discovered little in the first year, and most of the team returned, but Kade had managed—to all their amazement—to establish a cover identity and gain entrance to a prestigious university, remained behind to continue the vigil.
Combat Skills: Passingly skilled with the halberd, Kade favors the Monks Spade, Longbow, and his own harmonious fists.
Magical Abilities: Jara have a talent few humans can match for not only tapping into concepts such as strength, agility, health, and intelligence, but establishing a permanent connection too those concepts.
In Kade’s case, Strength is his strongest magic. He can normally handle twice as much weight and exert twice as much force as his formidable muscle mass can account for. Actively drawing upon the magic can increase this to a factor of five easily, as much as a factor of ten in situations of extreme emotion or transcendental excellence.
Kade can also invoke the Kanji for health, healing himself or others, though he lacks the skill to do this when distracted.
He knows a few common magical rituals, including the not so well known spell to pass between Terra and Amtgaurd, but has been known to perform them incorrectly, resulting in nothing more than unpleasant sparks and wasted time. He lacks the skill to invoke these rituals under duress.
Other Skills: Kade is intelligent enough, and curious, but his greatest strength in life has always been the work ethic he grew up with as a classical-era-technology construction worker from a long line of migrant laborers. It let him go from a half literate laborer to a mathematically adept and magically skilled man at arms in a matter of years, and adapt to modern technology in a matter of months.
He is a student of architecture at Tokyo University—having already been a construction worker and learned trigonometry for siege purposes. He is fascinated by computers in all their glory, though he has given up figuring out how to manufacture them for the nonce.
