The Dead Walk Among Us 
Yes, we have another zombie survivor game. I had to create one, being a huge fan of The Walking Dead series and in honor of the show starting in a week. Basically, with this game I'm going for a dramatic/horror tone. That means it will be less action based in comparison to a lot of other zombie games, and I'm going for a more realistic sort of game. I also don't want to sound elitist, and I am not by my own admission near the best writer on the site even when I put my all into posts. However I pretty much want people who are better writers, and are capable of giving stronger posts. I think it will help the game & story immensely if everyone is able to give stronger posts. I apologize if that sounds elitist or like something a douchebag would say lol. Dynamic and realized characters means I get to make their lives hell more and feel more fulfilled in giving them arcs. I also ask that everyone read everything posted so we don't have any miscommunication, I also hope that I answered a lot of potential questions in this post.
The PlotIt is unknown what happened, but yesterday the outbreak happened. The dead were rising and infecting the living. Nobody could have been prepared for what happened, and by the time the government could have responded? It was almost too late. Several major cities were hit, and the infection is spreading like wildfire. Analysts think it won't be long until the dead outnumber the living.
This story will have a prologue of sorts, that will begin with the first few days of infection. What this will be intended to do is to set up the given circumstances and allow the characters to interact and to get into a group. Once the prologue is finished? The real meat of the game will pick up with the group a few months later.
The SettingThe game will start off in Michigan, but the group is going to be roaming so there is no telling where they'll wind up after the prologue. The initial location is going to be a small hole in the wall motel. Think up reasons as to why you'd be there.
The DeadThey will come in many different flavors. Initially depending on the state of wear in their muscles? You'll either get the classic slower Romero zombies, or the more recent runners. I do plan on having them eventually mutate over time. So keep your eyes peeled. The only way to truly kill them is to destroy the brain, beheading will render the body useless but the head can still bite.
The zombies are intended to be more terrifying in here. Keep that in mind when you post, I will not be controlling all of the zombies lol. Just remember that we will not be slicing through them like butter, and if a horde comes? You get out of there like a bat out of hell.
The zombies don't tire, they recognize nothing from their previous lives, the players wouldn't know this but they mostly track by scent. They won't starve out, but eventually their bodies will deteriorate. The problem with that? They have a rather long shelf life.
What I'm Looking For:-I will ask if anyone would like to help me run this by the way, my schedule can get hectic from time to time and I want to ensure that this game has a long shelf life. Not to mention it will run a lot smoother, if you're going to help run this with me? You'll still be able to have a character, but we will need to correspond routinely. Not to mention that way any ideas we have? They won't clash with one another.
-8-12 people in the group, I want the male-female ratio to be pretty even. So if say 5 other guys sign up? I will close off the spots for guys.
-Psychology, what makes your person tick? How do they respond to the events of what is going on around them? What drives them?
-All of the characters, will have to be approved. Realism is a must, not everyone will be a skilled killer. Hell, most people won't. Everyone in the group won't even initially have weapons or know how to use them. That is going to be a plot point that shows up later.
-Make real people, that is the best advice I can give. Balance is needed, and some people can fight. Someone might have been a doctor or a nurse. Someone might be a good mechanic. The possibilities are endless.
-No current soldier characters, I will allow one soldier at the most. If that was the case? Your service had to have ended at least 5 years before starting time. This will be another plot point. Otherwise, I will allow up to 2 characters who were involved in law enforcement.
-At the start only three characters at the most will have access to firearms. It'll be a pistol of some kind, and you will be very limited in regards to ammo. That is for the police, I will allow the person who either owns or works at the motel access to a shotgun. (The cops will have in all 19 bullets apiece. One clip, with one in the chamber. Along with a back up clip. The shotgun wielder? They'll have enough rounds for 4 shots.)
-If you want to be an "other", let me know. Don't create a profile yet though. If you are interested in being an other you will need to talk to me over PM so I can give you the given circumstances and you'll have to understand you won't come into play for awhile.
-I'm open to character deaths, if you at any point want to kill off one of your characters? PM me and we will discuss how, and I'm also open to new characters joining the survivors at a later date.
-If you want? You can even play as someone who is meant to be a redshirt. Your entire point is to die or get close to the group and then die. I'm a fan of character deaths, it makes for better drama.
-The remains of the armed forces? They'll play into this game much later down the line, I'm sure if you're hip to zombie fiction you'll have some ideas. The others in here? Will be a nasty bunch. Just so you know.

Appearance:(Written, you can add things that might not be in the picture.) Dante is in excellent shape, he works out constantly and wears his hair in long black cornrows. He has a golden brown skin complexion, and is built like a boxer for the most part. His eyes are bedroom brown, and his facial hair is neatly maintained.
Distinctive Features: Dante has several different tattoos. An angelic like figure takes up a good portion of his right bicep, on his back he has a stylized Grim Reaper like figure wielding a scythe. Over his heart he has a gravestone.
Occupation: Convict, previously a Biker/Gang Member. His legal occupation however was as a bouncer.
Education: Dante graduated from Mumford High School in Detroit. He dropped out of Wayne State University where he was majoring in Public Speaking.

Personality: Dante is an odd representation of a gang member. He's very intelligent, and well read. He can be very aggressive, but dislikes wanton violence for the sake of violence. He is a gang member, but tries to cleanse his neighborhood of hard drugs and gangs that would prey on children. He is loyal, bluntly honest and a bit of a flirt. Yet at the same time he can be self serving, and he is very analytical and focused. He is respectful to those who show him respect.
Skills: Dante is an accomplished brawler. He has excellent natural deductive reasoning. He can remain calm in the face of a crisis. He's a decent enough mechanic. He's very strong, and has excellent stamina. He has good oratory skills and is a halfway decent shot with a gun though he'll never be called a marksman. He knows how to use one. He's an excellent driver with numerous different vehicles and can braid his own hair.
Flaws: Dante isn't a very trusting person, he has a horrid temper which got him locked up in the first place. He doesn't like to let people get too close or rely on them. Also he is afraid of isolation, and he tends to not like spending too much time alone.
Ambition: Dante wants his prison sentence to end, and to go back to enjoying his life. He also wants to make the neighborhood he grew up in a better one.
Short Biography: Dante was born and raised in Detroit Michigan. He grew up in a household of bikers/gang members and became a part of that lifestyle early on. He did however show a knack for learning, and consistently got high grades in school. He wound up dropping out of college when the school continued to screw him over or change their policies too frequently for his liking. Despite being in an outlaw MC, Dante and the rest of the MC disdain hard drugs and give back to the community. He got sent to prison for 5 years for aggravated assault, when he found a Drugdealer near the highschool he graduated he from and beat the man to a bloody pulp for trying to sell to kids. At the start of the game, he is being transferred to another prison due to frequent cases of having to defend himself from attacks.
Turn Ons/Offs: Dante likes to be teased, and he's into aggressive women. He's also a fan of the backsides.
