I'm old enough to:
*Have seen The Little Mermaid while it was still in theaters.
*Wait expectantly for new episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, and have a crush on Wesley Crusher and Commander Riker
*Have watched the entirety of Stargate: SG-1 on television, if I'd had one available.
*Lament how SeaQuest: DSV was cut short.
*Remember watching Earth 2 when it was still brand new, and not being overly impressed.
*Remember the original Power Rangers.
*Have watched Gummy Bears on Disney channel, back when Gummy Bears was referring to old fashioned animation and a really interesting story about courage and doing the right thing. It brings up something different these days that I haven't even bothered with.
*Remember when TV shows had morals, and almost all kiddy cartoons were about teaching you to be a good person and a good friend, disguised as entertainment.
*Remember when Barbie and My Little Ponies were originally all the rage, or at least be on the second wave...
*Remember that a show called Fraggle Rock existed and that it bothered me so much that I've blocked the show itself from my memory to this day.
*Have been scared shitless when I first heard that we were going to war over in the middle east as a teenager because while I'd never lived through one (not quite that old) I'd read enough stories that didn't glorify it to realize that that meant people would die for no damned good reason.
I think that's a pretty good list.
