Sadly, after some thought I've decided I've got too much on my plate already. I'm backing out of this.

Name:  Rannock Durbane
Gender:  Male
Class: Fighter
Alignment: Law
Skills: Riding, Tactics, History, Farming
Appearance: http://www.fantasyplanet.cz/lotr/picture_show.asp?id=1059&obr_url=../gfx%2Fpictures_clanky%2Flotr_gal_velky_2001_12_24_16_3_42.jpg

Rannock wears chainmail over leather, and uses a large shield and a longsword, or a longbow.  If he needs to be a bit more stealthy, he wears a dark cloth shirt over his chainmail.  He wears brownish trousers, most all the time, and soft boots.

Biography:  Rannock was born in a large village in a plains region, surrounded by prosperous farmers who sold their excess goods in a nearby city.  He grew up riding horses, working his father's farm.  Bandits are always a problem in Rannock's home villiage, so on becoming an adult, Rannock served as a militiaman in his home village for several years, slowly building his combat and tactical skills.  His parents had encouraged him to become a warrior, more than just a militia member, and after five years of serving his village, he resigned, and became an adventurer.  His life became one of wandering from city to city, taking jobs for some period of time, then moving on.  He mixed mercenary work with the search for treasure--adventuring--working with one group, then another.  He's driven to seek his own fame, though not at the expense of his associates.
Deepest Wish/Desire or Goal:  Rannock desires to be the lord of a village, someone responsible for protecting, aiding, and nurturing the people of a place--doing so fairly, honorably, and successfully.
Turn-ons:  exotic females of any human or human-like race, dominating strong-willed women.
Turn-offs:  non-heterosexual relations, women who pretend weakness to gain advantage

Stats:

Strength: 16 (5, 2, 6, 5)
Dexterity:  10 (1, 3, 5, 2)
Constitution:  14 (5, 5, 2, 4)
Intelligence: 11 (6, 1, 1, 4)
Wisdom: 12 (4, 2, 3, 5)
Charisma:  15 (1, 4, 6, 5)

Are elves able to wear armor and do spellcasting?

No

You do know magic users can't wear armor in the earlier DnD unless the GM makes a house rule, just so you know.

But GM if we have a MU in the group having five characters may be a good idea, especially with a low physical stats but I love the players moxy not bitching about it I think that is nice for a change.

Ruby is correct.  MU's don't wear armor.

Only Clerics and druids can cast in armor.  There might be magic armor that breaks this rule, I don't remember.

Hm it's looking like the only 4 who posted are the ones who are interested.  I'll wait until later today, if no one else puts up something that wows me than you 4 are in.

Offline TransgirlensteinTopic starter

Congrats, your all in!  Essentially what I will do is eventually pm everyone with their stats and stuff.  I'll buy equipment for now, if you have preferences of weapons and armor and any other items you want, let me know.  When you get your character stats, everyone can post them in the character thread.  This way everyone can update your character sheet as need be.

Nobody is running a cleric? Do we have a thief?

I mean this is old school here, something of each class should be represented. But we have no healing person this is not a good thing.

I'll leave it up to you four whether you want to do that or not.  What you have is what you have.

Offline Kunoichi

Well, if having a healer is really necessary, then I suppose I could play the Cleric...

I can still say that she's an elf, flavor-wise, even if she's not mechanically represented as such, right? ^^;

Yes you can.  Having a healer is really useful but honestly don't feel you have to change your character.

Offline Kunoichi

Alright, that works for me, then. ^^ Casting in armor is cooler, anyway.  I don't really mind being a healer, and all I have to change on my sheet is my skills, my Intelligence and Wisdom scores, and my class listing.

Offline TransgirlensteinTopic starter

You can always become a druid at 9th level as well (assuming we get that far along).

Offline Kunoichi

So it should fit in well with a sort of elven nature-girl concept. ^^

Offline TransgirlensteinTopic starter

Also keep in mind that 1st level clerics don't get any spells in RC D&D.  Not until 2nd level, so at 1st you still have to be careful.

Offline Kunoichi

That's alright with me. ^^; So long as it won't be too hard to survive to second level, I don't mind too much.  Character sign-up sheet's been edited, so...

Offline TransgirlensteinTopic starter

I'll try not to make it tooo hard ;)

Offline Kunoichi

So, aside from healing, what sort of magic do clerics have access to, anyway?  And can Druids Wild Shape, or was that an invention of later editions?

Offline TransgirlensteinTopic starter

Druids can't wildshape but they get a spell that lets them do it.

Clerics get mostly protection spells, Wish, Earthquake and a few other fun spells.

Offline Kunoichi

Hmm.  Any ranged damage spells for either Clerics or Druids?  Calling down holy fire, summoning up lightning storms, that sort of thing?

Offline TransgirlensteinTopic starter

Cleric and Druid get a few though they are mostly situational and buff spells.

Offline Kunoichi

Ah well, guess I'll be buffing the party, then.

Offline TransgirlensteinTopic starter

Shall I put this game in NC Bondage Exotic, Bondage Exotic or Light?

Offline Kunoichi

I think one of the two varieties of Bondage would be appropriate, NC or consensual depending on whether you expect us to be the playthings of monsters during the course of play. ;)

Offline bigwad73

Ah well, guess I'll be buffing the party, then.

I'm feeling shiny already!   :-)

Oh, and I'd say NC Bondage Exotic, just to be safe.  Though I'd vote not to get to that level, we should probably reserve it, just in case.

Do we have a thief I can do that one, but its a pretty vital class to be missing someone has to disarm traps and tend to the sneaky bit?

Just assume she is a military scout I can adjust her skills accordingly.

Offline TransgirlensteinTopic starter

If you want to keep your character as is Ruby, I can recommend taking the Stealth (Terrain of Choice) skill and other such abilities and still play a fighter.  A thief isn't a huge necessary thing, but some of the abilities might be useful.
