Ok, with Shadowrun still coursing through my brain and some intensly fun possibly comedic, but still gritty ideas from the Street Magic book in my head I was thinking perhaps there's the foundation here for a less restricted game, something people without the rules who just dig the setting could get into, and something someone with almost no clue about the Shadowrun world, but interested to learn, could get a window from.

I present: The Bar.

It's never in the same place for too long, and it doesn't really have a name. People just call it The Bar. At least, those people who know about it. It's definitly underground, a total word-of-mouth-no-advertising-if-you're-here-you're-in-the-know kind of place, yet it attracts all types. From rednecks to changelings, shifters and suits. The crowd is eclectic, the atmosphere electric. The Bar is just that, its an old fashion pool hall bar, with a few rooms upstairs for conducting more private biz. The scary part is that wherever it is at any given time, The Bar looks exactly the same inside and out. There's something magical about the place, quite literally, but if Joe the Bartender, the only permanent (meta)human fixture in the place, knows he ain't telling. And don't even get me started on the back room, that place is just out of there, literally.

I see The Bar as an outlet for multiple stories within the SR universe, both gritty and erotic. A character driven freeform room, where stories come and go with people's whim, though some narrative will exist from time to time. I've got characters of my own ready to roll at any time, so if I get interest, it's a go.

Within that framework I'd like to hook at least one on one, though the sky's the limit on where that'd go.

Any takers?

Heh, don't think I have the time, but sounds intresting.  I just popped in to ask, have you ever read any of the stories about Calahan's Place?
