Afterlife is a 'club' more than a restaurant, but food is served there I believe like any place of its like.  Check Mass Effect 2 sometime and you'll see it.

And what's Mass Effect?

The picture was helpful though, so thanks.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 is two XBox 360 games, set in a future time period where we discovered ancient ruins on Mars, left behind by an extremely advanced race called the Protheans.  We advanced by hundreds of years in a space of a few decades, and joined the rest of the current galactic empire.  We called the event called Mass Effect.

I was trying to wait for Nyarly to post but I guess that's not going to happen today.  So, I'm going to move us a bit forward.

Oh I should ask this before making my introduction post.  What kind of pace are you looking for in this game?  I stay strictly to slow moving games, which to me is a post at least every three days or so.  I sooo should have asked this before I made up a character lmao.

Preferably more if you can spare the time my friend.  You may not want to stick around for this one if you can't post more than that.  Sorry if that doesn't work out for you, but I was hoping for this RP to be a bit more active than three day time periods for a single PC lol.

It's okay.  I'm just in a few other games, and while I would probably post more than once every three days, that is a minimum for me.  Don't get me wrong I like fast paced games, but I know how I am, and when I'm busy I won't be on for periods of time, and I don't like the idea of people waiting longer than they'd like to in order to push a game forward lol.  But hey it gave me an opportunity to create an interesting sci-fi character, and I can always use it in another game lmao.

Best of luck :)

the info on Omni tools will be useful for those who have not play Mass effect 1 and 2 which were both good games. I am just having my character wonder because she has truly never seen it before.

I added the wiki link to omni-tools for Mass Effect 1 in the Galactic Compendium for everyone to see and use as they wish.  Thanks though CrazyIvan and Elfguy as well for the help.

Idachan

Not quite tongue in cheek and certainly not just for laughs. I hope it's reasonable.

Name; Ris Davilia Tarn
Gender; Female
Age; The equivalent of 20
Race; Diablerist

From an obscure and often misunderstood planet originates the chaotic race called Diablerists, a race of hedonistic pleasure seekers whose influence have never been strong yet curiously far reaching. A source of many myths of demons and devils due to their rather specific culture and appearance but mainly peacefull, in the end the Diablerists are more concerned with their own quests for fulfillment and exctacy. Diablerists are mostly human in appearance apart from their horned heads and often otherwordly colouring. And while it's not a secret per se, it's an often unknown fact (since they themselves think little about it) that they do not require their air to be oxygenized and to top that off, they are almost ridiculously fertile and know the result within hours after conception.

Home Planet; Diablos, the city of Pandemonium.

The planet that never sleeps beneath it's Aurora Borealis jewelled sky. It's climate is not quite tropical but there are very few changes in season and the nature is pleasant enough to never actually force its spoiled inhabitants to work hard for their survival, giving them plenty of free time to pursue their pleasures. Diablos atmosphere is artificially oxygenated to provide a pleasant experiance for visitors, Diablerists love visitors, and any type of indulgance is found in abundance but with no monetary system traders usually find the planet to be a headache despite the riches available and thus Diablerist goods are sparsely spread across the worlds. The capital of this world is joyously named Pandemonium and while there are no rivers of lava and death, bonfires often lend a flickering red tint over the dark grey stone most buildings seem to be made of. In the city all roads lead to the presidential palace... infamously dubbed Euphoria, a huge nightclub from where the President leads all Diablerists.

Known universe;  (Race original, however belonging in the Pitch Black/Chronicles of Riddick universe)
Appearance; Ris has a dancer's body, of course, toned svelte and trim with generously formed curves where it counts and she's hardly shy in showing it off as she knows that everywhere she goes a reason to dance may be present. She's hardly tall at 162 cm but as of yet no one has complained. With skin as a sensual tan cream, wonderfully offset by her bluish black hair, Ris is surprisingly human looking apart from the scorched red tone of her eyes and delicately curved set of horns on which she usually wears silver rings. She wears her hair at around bust lenght normally and either curls it down her back or creates a dramatic updo, always keeping some strands flying around her body as she dances. Her features as well described as dainty, her nose almost uppity and her lips excellently formed, the strongest feature on her face being her dark, nearly straight eyebrows resting above her very shiny ruby red eyes.
Position; Ambassador of Diablos
Passion of Revelry: Dancing
Tech Level;   Fairly advanced in some areas, painfully lacking in others. Areas where inventions can help satiate the Diablerist urge to enjoy themselves are all highly developed while their military technology is near nill. What weapons they have are all based on for them alien technology and only with some good will can one say that they've improved them. Traditionally their strongest defenses have been their ability to charm and enrapture others as well as simply shutting off the artificial oxygen production on their planet if invaded.

Racial Traits/evolutionary path/customs/traditions etc;  Diablerists are very warmblooded creatures, their body temperature warmer than humans, and some traits seem to echo through the whole race such as a singlemindedness to pursue a goal. This lead to the birth of Fröjd, a race-wide religion where the individual commit fully to a Passion of Revelry of their choice and so ingrained is Fröjd in the Diablerist mind that their whole culture revolves around it more or less. Their president is chosen on the basis of how well she or he performs her or his chosen Passion, the high skill serving as inspiration to the people. Currently the President was chosen for his incredible and awe-inspiring cooking but former presidents have had all kinds of Passions such as dancing, a plethora of musical Passions, gymnastics, writing and sex. Needless to say, Diablerists aren't among the most well respected of races but somehow most of those who hold animosity towards them tend to forget it in the presence of a Diablerist. They seem to have an almost hypnotic ability to mesmerize and tempt other races, speculations as to why include some kind of pheromone-secretion or colouring of the skin beyond the visible spectra but the Diablerists aren't interested in finding out why it is and they aren't very keen on letting anyone else experiment on them either.
Preferences;  Bisexual like a vast majority of Diablerists but also (again, like a lot of Diblerists) a virgin.
History; Ris is one of the ten children of former President Merana Tarn but only one of three full-blood Diablerists in the sibling horde and perhaps the only one who genuinely inherited their mother's drive to seek Fröjd. Unlike her mother who devoted herself to the pleasures of sex Ris chose to use her body in a different way, truelly believing that bliss should be reached in dancing. Hard work and floods of sweat have elevated Ris to one of the future hopes for Presidency and being elected ambassador was simply nothing that Ris could say no to. After all, it's a great opportunity to see how other races dance.

Nyarly

I hate to say this, but I think I'll drop out. Somehow, I have trouble following the RP and therefore coming up with posts (the reason, I only made so few). Also it is a bit too fast-paced for me.

One of the reasons is probably, that I've never played Mass Effect (neither my home-PC nor my laptop are willing to even start it). But I doubt that's the only thing.

Vergil1989

Nyarly, it is good to know why you haven't been posting my friend.  I'm sorry to see you go.  It wasn't going to stay Mass Effect ish, but rather move off to other worlds, but for now I was going to keep the Citadel from ME and ME 2 to use as our last leg of our current journey and then visit the diplomats home world one at a time unless otherwise called on separate missions for whatever reason.  The whole time I planned to have all of us on one ship as much as possible so we could interact during the FTL flights.  I haven't decided on an actual end to all this, but that was the plan to why I had us gather at Omega, and then move on to the Capital so we could traverse the stars and all that.

Also Idachan, it's an excellent PC, you are more than welcome to join us at Omega.

Idachan

Okay, thanks. Would it be allright to assume that Ris has allready found her way to Afterlife? And perhaps even up on a table...

CrazyIvan

well that will be an interesting experience for everyone when they have to get to my home world, since they will most likely have to use one of out ships, unless they want to travel to another galaxy by another way, which some of them would be dead, before they reached the galaxy.

Vergil1989

Yeah, that's fine Idachan and CrazyIvan, we can switch ships if we have to, so that's no biggie for me.  Right now we need a ship design for the mission after we go from the Citadel.  Any ideas?

Yeah, likewise - you need a Warshawski sail/impeller drive to cross through a wormhole, so we'll probably be spending a lot of time hopping between ships.

Vergil1989

As I said, I don't mind switching ships if we need to.  Let's get Afterlife over with and go on from there shall we?  Ship ideas are more than welcome for our ride across the stars lol.

PeacethatPowerbrings

Well, in terms of transport, for the sake of convenience the Var could offer a ship that would be more than capable of doing the job.
I am filled with recollections of lives I have not lived.

Vergil1989

As long as we agree to either switch ships as the need arises, or we use one for the whole mission, we need to decide before we move on from the Citadel.

Well for conveniance, a single ship would be simpler and who is to say that someone has not allready thought about all this and produced this wonder-ship, for example the Var as suggested.

Vergil1989

Anyone else?  I am with Idachan but I want to ask everyone on this one.

I'm just glad we brought a cruiser instead of a superdreadnought.
