Medieval game seeks badass mercenary
« on: June 27, 2006, 11:12:42 AM »
I'm intending to host a one-on-one set in medieval fantasy times. The protagonist must be:

- A black-hearted male sword-for-hire. He could be a brutish swordswinger or a clever rogue or whatever.
- Willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead
- Arrogant, bastardly and sadistic

I don't mind doing it freeform or by the d&d rules. But if a system is used, I'll do the rolling.
For further enquiries, please PM me!

To all interested applicants:

You'll be playing a character of middling experience. Not a total rookie, but someone who's climbing his way up. (In D&D terms, about 4th level) Somewhere between a common thug and a dangerous mercenary. You are currently returned from a minor vermint-hunting campaign and awaiting your next instructions from the leader of the large band you have temporarily joined.

There will be no exotic races in this game (elves, orcs or whatnot). There will be magic (but not store-bought). And there will be no Drizzts :)

Fair enough.

Would you prefer statted or unstatted?

Either. If giving your character stats makes it easier for you to envisualize him, just go ahead. Unstatted is easier of course, but not necessarily better. Take your pick.

Unstatted works just fine with me.

Cool, just send me a private message with your character concept :)
Any living relatives? Surviving enemies? Jobs done in the past? Chosen approach to obstacles? Weapon of choice? Things like that.

Have not got back to this concept in a while.

Alternatively, I am also willing to do a Modern Mercenary concept. :)

I'd be interested in doing the Medieval Merc. Style game. No stats.

If you're still looking, and don't mind a moderate pace, I'd audition.  Either freeform or, if D&D, a human fighter/Warlock.
