Newbi two questions
« on: January 25, 2010, 06:53:22 AM »

Reading the forums, sometimes there is a one word reply "bump". What does that mean, may I ask?
Secondly, under a members pictures are some basic details, and a brief motto or epigram. I assumed the member chose or wrote those, but my unapproved (and therefore un-editable) profile has one (and obviously not of my choosing! How did it get there, and can I remove it (it's not quite me to be that forward at first sight!)
Thanks for any light anyone can cast.

'Bumping' is simply adding a meaningless post in order to get the thread up to the top of the list again. It's a practice that we generally frown on.

Custom texts are editable by approved members; you get the default one for a new member. If you are approved, you will be able to change it to something more to your liking.
