Changing Avatar problem
« on: January 05, 2010, 06:19:10 PM »
I am trying to change my avatar and I keep getting told that the image is too large or not an avatar at all. My current one is 183x200 so I have resized four different images to 200 and lower and uploaded them from my computer. I got the error message. I tried up uploading to photobucket and using the url option and got the error. I tried making them smaller and up loading from both my computer and photobucket and still got the error message. Will some one please tell me what I am doing wrong? I am using Jpeg images.

The maximum dimensions for an avatar are 150x200 pixels, so the images you are trying are too wide.

Try converting it a .png format as well.

JPEG images should be fine, but Lilias hit it on the nail. Maximum avatar dimensions are 150px (width) by 200px (height).

Thank you. I didn't realize that I had two copies of my current avatar saved and was checking the wrong one for size. My headache is now gone. lol
