Ok. Here's a thought. My two cents, for all it's worth.
Harumi: How about Harumi being one of the many employees of the band? Put a clipboard in her hand and let her take care of the fluffy stuff, while Tempest takes care of the technology. Once they are on the road, someone has to fiddle with their laptop and handle "hospitality" what restaurant they stop at, what motel to stay at, and make sure they look good when they show up for Sandra's arranged PR appearances; record stores, radio stations, etc. Somebody has to devote their time and attention to keeping the ever changing schedule.
That way she is not homeless; stayes in the RP, and grows a baby if it makes her happy. Any way it goes, the (once) homeless waif will be exposed to sex and drugs on a level that will no doubt shock her. She does not have to be involved....she is just one of the "zookeepers" that tend to the animals. This is not a "full time" position...if she just posts once in a while it wouldnt' slow down the progress.
Harumi, does that work for you? You have enough experience to pull it off? What about the rest of you?
Okay, Shadow. Heri met them online in a songwriter's forum....(which you would have known if you read the RP. *thump on the head* I mean it, buster....READ IT!!! You need to know what has been going on to fit your character in)
So; as they have been struggling to find new members on the eve of the tour, he might well have been one of the many they interviewed. They know the new girl had serious, possibly debilitating stage fright, but they had liked her recorded pieces a bit more than yours.
You are "plan B" but you are actually there. Since none of them have ever SEEN you, you aren't familiar to them by your appearance, but if you remind them of your online conversations, they might snag you and put you onstage, as they have already heard your recordings.
Why don't you write your screen name from the writer's forum on a piece of paper with a marker (borrow it from the bar staff) and hold it up to where they can see it? Wave it around; it is not unknown for fans to do that to with their message of love...or cell phone number...
OH! It's...that guy....
Questions? Lamentations? Arguments? Other ideas? This happens in real bands, so we just go with what we can work out.
