*grins*  Well, in my family, we have a tradition.  The birthday is not celebrated for only one day, but for the entire month.  I think June should be your Birthday Month!  Presents every day.  Adoration, breakfast in bed, attention... all that wonderful stuff.

Ooohh, and the occasional bubble bath.  *grins*  Yeah, okay, I'm a romantic at heart.

Love the Ugly Kid Joe version.....

Well we are allowed to get away with almost anything on our birthday, but I say the same to my 11 year old that my Dad used to say to us.
"Do whatever you want, feel free, but remember, tomorrow I can sharp put you over my knee and smack your arse...."
*laughs*
It was always fun to see how far we could push it. I remember my dad having to go without milk in his tea one year, because it was my birthday and I drank all the milk......kids can be sooooooo cruel.....*grins*

*laughs*  Ahhh, to have had that much freedom.  *smirks*  I do remember that one year, my 9th B-day, I got a pony.  I real one.  This was NOT a good thing.  We were in the suburbs, but that meant our entire back yard was about 30' deep and 40 to 45' wide. (I dun know the metric equivilant but I can estimate about ten meters deep by about 15 meters wide.)

That was not enough room for a pony.  Especially when part of that was cement patio, two full-size trees and a fenced in garden.  *laughs, shaking her head*  That poor pony ran a track between those two trees... she, Patches was her name, went completely psycho, I'm sure.

Wow, good memory there.

Awwwwwww...poor pony...hope it ended happily for it?

I remember one year, my younger sister, about seven at the time, decided she didn't want to eat her carrots and mashed potatoe, so she flicked them from her knife onto the ceiling. My mother was ill at the time, so Dad had her up at 4.30 the next morning to help him clean it all up before he went to work!

I'm playing this song in her honour, she used to wander around the house singing it all the time.

Oh damn... That was by The Who???  There was a friend of the family, when I was a little girl, who would play that on his guitar and sing to entertain us.  I can still hear his deep voice making odd sounds for Boris. I don' t know, maybe it's not the same song... but man that brings back good memories too.

Oh, and the pony was sold a month later.  After her third escape to the golfcourse down the street.  Heh.  Amazingly enough, a Shetland pony can jump a fence that's taller than she is... if she's determined enough.  *grins*

Alanis Moressette, (I think that's she spells her last name.) "Wake Up"

I love this song, I heard it at one my friend's homes and I enjoyed it. I found that I like her brand of music a lot.
