This role play has been filled.  Thank you.

Hi, Jated and I (Chelemar) are looking for a male to play a character who joins them on a wagon train and then helps them settle the landgrant they hold in the Nebraska territory in around the 1860s.

The story line.

Jated's character, Amanda "Manda" Canyon 18, is the only child of James O'neil Canyon.  Manda is unaware of her innate sexiness, and is a virgin.  She is spirited, loving and hardworking.  She is determined to do whatever it takes to finish the trip across to her father's homestead.

Chelemar's Character, Rebeca, "Becca" Canyon 23, is the widow of James O'neil Canyon, and stepmother to Manda.  Becca an orphan, married the widower James when she was only 13 and Manda was 8.  The two however, do not have a mother-daughter relationship, rather that of great and loving friends.  Becca is a hard worker, steady, has a good sense of humor, and she too is willing to do anything to get her and Manda to their homestead.  The had sold everything and there is nothing for them now in New York now that James is dead, although she was fond of her late husband, she is not terribly sad that he is gone, only pissed that he has left her and Manda in danger of being removed from the train.  James took ill from falling into a river and catching a chill.  The train pulled near the closest town just as James died.  The wagon master has given the two women a day to find a man to act as escort for the women the rest of the way to their holding, or be left to start over in that town.

You play the part of the man who takes them up on their offer.  Unfortunately, the widow had not much actual currency, but she will pay you with one thing she has that is totally hers, her body.  She has proved herself barren as she has been married for 9 years without issue, so she doesn't fear pregnancy.  She does however, have no desire to marry again.  Feeling free for the first time in her life.
She also promises him 1/3rd of the holdings at the homestead, which are quite considerable.
Manda, unbeknown to Becca, makes a similar deal with the man, she will do anything sexual except actual  vaginal intercourse. (read ons offs)

Your job is to bring both woman safely to Nebraska and help them establish their holding, while getting both women to not only fall in love with you and visa versa, but each other as well.

You being your character.

We want this role play to be fun and active and post at least once a day.  We also want someone who is fond of that time period and who will like to write about it historically not just about the sexual aspect.
This is a favorite time period of ours.

This sounds pretty interesting. This will be a first of me doing the western era, but would love to go try this out.

Thanks guys for your interest! :)  It would be great if you could give us a bio of how you see the character you would be writing.

His name is Spencer Nathanial Kincaid  (Is he Spence, Nate, Cade?)  He's 28.  Does he have family or is he alone?  Is he native born American?   Why does he want to go West, or even take the women up on the offer?  Is he running from the law, or maybe it's just a fast walk... you tell us, and may the best man... well you know! ;)

Gere's my version

Spencer Nathanial Kincaid is a carpenter as well as an American. He feels his skills will not only be best useful in the West, but also be able to build great experiences for it by learning from other great builders. He had a wife, but the lost her from a burning fire building at the flower store she used to work at. At the time, he was 27. A year later, he begins his little journey to the West.

He takes up the woman's offer just when he was about to board the train. He was already sold on 1/3rd of the household, as he could easily pawn it off to get himself started on his business. However, the mention of the offer of her body made the deal close faster. He was a man of want and need, so it was difficult to sate his desires. The thought of playing with the youngest one frighten him due to the mother possibly finding out. However, if he played it carefully, he could enjoy her as well. This was probably greed talking to him at this point.

So then it was settled: He would accompany them to the west so as to help situate things with them in terms of safety. At least from his pros, all the stuff given to him would help bring in more gold for him to use once he builds up on being a hard working carpenter.

This sounds fantastic, and I'd like to apply, but I couldn't post more than once per day.  Would that be a problem?

well, twice would be nice so that each of us, Jated and I both got a scene.  :)  But, why don't you go ahead and submit what you think the character's bio would be, and we will go from there.  A lot depends, too on writing style and story development.

thanks,

I could manage to post to two scenes in one post, so that's not a problem!

As for my character concept...

Spencer Nathaniel Kincaid

Attracted by the California Gold Rush of 1849, Englishman Spencer Kincaid sought a new beginning.  His wife and two daughters had already passed away of cholera, so the trip was made only with his 17 year old son, Spencer Nathanial Kincaid (called Nathaniel to differentiate him from his father).  At that age the boy was old enough to be a man, and well-educated when the family's fortunes had been better.  But now he was just one amongst thousands who flocked to the hills and the rivers of California, hoping that the land or streams would give them the new start that they so desperately hoped for.

There was a kind of viciousness in the poor parts of London, but the Americas were something entirely new.  Savage and wild, both Spencer men soon found that there was plenty of danger in the United States; if it were not the land or the animals, it was the natives, and the other prospectors.  The two men soon learned not to offer trust, nor generosity, and Nathaniel in particular became well-versed with his Colt Peacemaker.  After all, they'd been shown no mercy save that of the gun, and in such straits charity was a luxury they could scarcely afford.  Yet the land was also rich with opportunity for those willing to work, and to risk.  Soon enough the plot of land they'd claimed struck gold, and the two Englishmen prepared for their fortunes to change.

Change they did.  They were attacked in the middle of the night by men intent on driving them off their claim.  Nathaniel's nascent familiarity with his pistol couldn't save his father's life, nor keep him from being shot twice.  It was ironically only the extent of his wounds which saved him, convincing his attackers that though he fled he could not survive.  And they would have been right, had he not received aid from a free negro prospector, Little Jim, who nursed the Englishman back to health.

For a time things were safe, if not well after the loss of his father.  Nathaniel grew a much more violent temperament, and a rasher disposition.  It was only Little Jim who managed to be his sense of reason, and his conscience for a time.  The loss of his last remaining family member and more distantly the wealth that they had finally found was a great blow for the young man to bear, and it nearly broke him.  In the end though, he found his way, and after a time he and Little Jim continued on the quest to find golden riches.  Find them they did, the Californian bounty blessing Nathaniel a second time.  They became wealthy men, and a close bond developed between them.  Yet after the Fugitive Slave Law of 1850, that too was rent apart, as slavers kidnapped Little Jim, claiming that he was an escaped slave from Texas.

All the wealth the two shared could do nothing against the federal law, and the slavers had no intention of releasing a black man to live in the kind of wealth that they only dreamed of.  Nathaniel followed to Texas, seeking Little Jim so that he might purchase him, and thus sidestep the law.  After four years of searching his money was gone and he was forced to give up.  From there Nathaniel traveled, taking jobs where he could find them and growing more and more experienced with his pistol.

The years had taking him from a cunning but essentially optimistic lad to a much harder, experienced, and dangerous man.  Idealism had not left him entirely however, and in memory of his lost friend Little Jim, Nathaniel fell in with the Abolitionist movement, taking other jobs largely to help finance them.  With the passing of the Dred Scott decision of the Supreme Court in 1857, in which it was held that a man of African descent had no ability to become a citizen of the United States by any means, Nathaniel and some of those he worked with became even more passionate in their actions.  He participated in John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry in 1859, caught up in Brown's rhetoric and his attempts to start a slave revolt.

The raid was a disaster, and Nathaniel saw two close friends die.  A third he was forced to shoot personally, to save the man a slow demise.  Taking flight from the horror, Nathaniel was one of the few to escape.  He sought out passage back west, where he might escape the death that his life had been saturated by.  When two women came to him, seeking help, he could hardly refuse.  After all that he'd lost due to weakness in his youth, and with a desire to wash some small measure of the blood from his hands, he agreed.  The offer of 1/3rd of the homestead was tempting also.  It might prove a place he could retire to, and start a different life.  Perhaps even one of the women might make a good wife, though on the last he was less certain, and a little more conflicted.  He'd no wish to take advantage of them, or their position... but on the other hand, he was hardly a saint, devoted to celibacy.

He did not mind the name on the boots, Spencer something,  it sort of suited his new identity, at least for the time being, and it was better than Smith, Jones or John… or any of the other names he had used in the past as he wandered from state to state staying one step ahead of trouble and the long arm of the law. With only the pony express to spread news and the new fangled telegraph system in its infancy, it was easy to stay free in this wild and lawless country. Now, though, he needed a reliable way out of this town and assuming the identity of an ordinary cowhand was a good start.

The women were looking for a man to take care of them on their journey to Nebraska and he needed a cover to shake off anybody who might still be on his trail. This seemed to be the best plan at the moment, plus he sort of felt sorry for them, there were a few other candidates and he did not know if they would accept his pitch, but it would suit him fine. Besides he could sense trouble brewing in the south and had the feeling that if the country did find itself in a civil war that Nebraska would be as good a place as any to be out of harms way, he could not imagine any trouble spilling into that place.

The cashless offer from the women was not a problem, not with what he had in his saddle bags, that together with his map and the name. They would both lead him to even more money. A low profile was what he needed but wherever he went he always seemed to get into trouble, even though he looked like a merciless drifter with a itchy trigger finger, he could never totally ignore a damsel in distress, that had cost him dear in the past. He just could not seem to say no for too long to someone who needed a hand. Luckily there were few faster with a gun, something he liked to play down, the last thing he needed was someone trying to kill him to make a name for themselves.

He guessed he was a criminal with a conscience.

He liked the look of ‘Becca’, ‘Manda’, while younger, had an appeal all of her own as well. He was not entirely comfortable with them paying him with their bodies but he had been on the trail a long time and if he could get some fun out of the journey then what the hell, besides it was not like he was a leper or a half breed. He had a feeling the ladies went for his rough and ready looks. Truth was he could live without their romantic attentions and at the end of the journey? Well if his map panned out and the name was good, he would not even need to take Becca up on her offer of one third of her holdings.

He waited to see whether he would have company on his journey west, or whether he would be hitting the trail alone as he had many times before.
