Math Help: SPSS Data Software

*sighs* Alright, I'm at the end of my rope.

If anyone is familiar with the use of SPSS software for data entry, I could use a hand on how to get it to do some tasks:

Recoding continuous data into categorical, creating grouped frequency distribution tables

Comparing the sensitivity/specificity of two different types of tests

I'm using v.15 for Windows if it makes a difference. Really just need some pointing in the right direction, like what kind of analysis to use, etc.
