Topic: "What lies behind" and other new RP ideas [MUL]

Alright, have a nother one here. Inspired in part by some other requests I read, compared with some memorable D&D games we spent in a similar setting.


What lies behind...

A woman (could be 18 but also might be interesting with an older more "set in life" woman who might be unhappily or just bored married for example) buys a full size mirror in a Carboot sale (Garage sale, Yardsale, Antiqueshop...take your pic).

Being at home with her new prized possession she begins to clean it. After having cleaned the frame she begins to clean the actual mirror. For a moment she seems to see a different person in it. This could be herself in a different outfit, a man, a Were, up to you really as well and actually just a minor detail.

Anyway ... the woman continues to clean the surface and after she is finished finds out (maybe by caressing the surface of it, her hand "dipping into it, going through it", then perhaps taking a peek through it) that the mirror is a gate into a different world.

Now I don't plan on this world as being static as in a set scenario but more of a thing such as it adapts to her emotions, to her moods. To the mood, the mindset, the remnants of a nightmare etc, she has when she steps through the mirror. It's inhabitants would be anything from fuzzy critters to Weres and monsters in the classical as well as futuristic sense. There are countless possibilities.

The reason why she would continue to go there ... well, for the younger woman it may be curiosity for the older one it might be a way to escape her usual life.

Only set factor in it would basically be the other main Character, perhaps the one she saw in the mirror in that brief reflection, he would always be there, though his appearance might change as well. He might be a Prince like hearthrob one day but a scarred and hideous Were the next. Gentle and loving one day and a Torturing monster the next. The land beyond the mirror by itself could be a peaceful meadow with a small stream running through it one day and a scene from a nightmare the next. Possibly even changing while she is there, depending on what would bring the changes on the land.

See what I mean....there are tons of possibilities with this one. And of course as always I am more than open to all suggestions, ideas, plotlines and twists as usual And by its nature I think the RP would actually need a lot of collaboration and inspiration, more so than most others I had come up with, due to the ever changing world it is set in with its drastic changes.

Sorry for the delay in posting the other thread ideas. Had not yet had a chance to do so. But I'll try my best to have them in by tonight.

This is based on an RP that is ongoing at the moment. Yet those who know me, know that I am always more than happy to have various RPs with similar lotlines. I like the diversity it brings and usually the RPs have a completely different storyline and outcome. Even my own characters are usually very different from each other, even if the base story and the first name might be the same.

So if it interests anyone, feel free to PM me. And as always ... your creativity, ideas, twists, turns are more than welcome. It's both of us writing the story not me writing and you acting.


Rise to feast...

A Vampire had been in a deep coma like hibernation for almost 100 years after he was injured in an attack that was the result of betrayal. His only confident and servant had been watching over him, kept alive by the small amount of blood he had regularly received in years before, he now felt his strength weakening slowly. He knew it was time, not only for his sake but for his masters as well, he needed to awaken the master.

But he would be in need of Lifeforce, of energy, of food. Weakened from the attack and the following decades without the chance to feed he would need to feed as soon as he would rise. His mind set on bringing his master back into the world, restoring his powers and following him to the end of the world if need to take revenge for the betrayal, the servant sets out and kidnaps a woman. She will be his masters feast when he rises and perhaps a relief for the anger and frustration of betrayal and decades of nightmares.

..... I can see this go various ways. As I usually like to get involved in longer RPs and am not really into short term 5 or 6 page threads, it would be nice to collaborate on the story. As far as the Vampire goes, he would have to see about his affairs, the people he knew, friends he had, and of course there is the motto of revenge.  In terms of relationship to your character, there would be various possibilities. Perhaps he decides to keep her as a blood doll and general servant'slave, perhas he falls for her over time and discovers he harbors feelings for her beyond that of primal instincts.

When I rolled him up for the preparations of the RP I found him to be a Vampire in the Anne Rice kind of way yet with more as well, Sensual and intriguing yes, but he also has a very dark and rough side to him. While he can be charming and gentle he is also strict domineering and unpredictable at times.

Im interested in either plot line, the vampire more so, though the mirror seems very interesting.

I am very intersted in the Mirror idea. I could definitely see myself playing an older woman in the midst of it. The possibilities are mind boggling, but I'm up for the challenge.

@ Decrepid ... I usually prefered to have a female playing the female counetrpart. Though as I myself am playing a female toon at the moment in a different Rp, which I hadn't done before as well (though against another female in that one) I'll mull over it and send you a PM.

@ Fool Heart ... I'll PM you. As always I will if another one is interested, probably end up playing it mroe than once. I find multiple RPs with a similar storyline rather interesting as they always have absolutely different turns as well as character traits even if my baseline characetr is similar as well. the personality is different.

You got it. Though I am leaving it open as usual, because I don't mind similar RPs with various others. They always end up differently and even my characters are never the same.
