Rest In Peace, John Hughes
« on: August 07, 2009, 11:27:03 AM »

As a child of the 80's, it is nearly impossible to have missed a John Hughes film.  They were the most important and seminal films of the decade.  They have shaped each one of us and with a saddened heart, I read that he passed away.  So, whether it be from Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, or Ferris Bueller's Day Off or another of his wonderful films, his work will always live on.

Let us remember our favorite moments from his films or his life as we should never let his legacy ever die.

Dear Mr. Vernon,
We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it is that we did wrong. But we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms and in the most convenient definitions.... But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain. And an athlete. And a basket case. A princess. And a criminal. Does that answer your question?
Sincerely yours,
The Breakfast Club.

We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all.

I think I'm going to change my sig now.

John Hughes, Bobby's been a sad week!  :'( I think this prompts a memorial viewing of the Breakfast Club.

It's been a black season man... people I respect are dying left right and centre.
