Military service record: According to official records, Samantha was killed in a Zerg ambush scarcely two months after she enlisted. In truth, she was selected by the Ghost Corps for black ops training. If her deeds since those days were judged, she would have more medals than the entire senior staff of the navy, and at the same time be summarily executed for charges ranging from genocide to treason. Fortunately, she's officially dead.Home planet:
Rhea (Moon of Jupiter)Bio:
Rhea was the space-colonization-era Australia. Founded originally as a prison moon, more pressing concerns led to the reassignment of Rhea's personnel to military stations. The doors were unlocked as the last personnel evacuated, leaving the prisoners to manage a half-terraformed moon without any external aid. There was much initial conflict as the crowd of criminals fought between themselves to establish a new order, but once one was found, the progress was rapid. The moon itself was wild, with some areas being fully terraformed and others untouched, only furthered by the fact that the moon had been a station for agricultural genetic engineering. The plants and animals loosed by the scientists upon evacuation made the moon a very dangerous place to be outside the walls of the prison. Needless to say, the already rough-and-tumble prison population was forged into a brash, adventurous, and tight-knit society of colonists that built an extensive skill set that was taught from birth, simply by necessity, in order to survive on Rhea.
The Aramus clan made a name for itself as a clan of highly proficient hunters, able to track down and kill anything from the smallest Rhean rats to the massive, deadly Rhean boars. Samantha was no exception, and as the youngest fully trained member, she was picked out by the Ghost Corps for training. Her hardnosed stubbornness and dedication to the job, to the exclusion of any conflicting ideals such as personal gain or patriotism, made her a perfect choice for Section 9 black ops. She proved to be an extremely effective agent, and rapidly became favored for her obedience, never asking questions about her missions, even when they involved killing her own kind. Section 9 eventually established contact with its sister organization in the protoss military, and the two began a tentative co-op to maximize the available technology of both races by combining them. However, the program was castrated at an early stage, and the few prototypes that were produced were primarily high-end protoss technology customized to suit humans. Sam was a participant in this program, and came out of it with a suit of powered armor, with a wide array of tools and weapons at her disposal.
At this point, Sam began to question her role in the galaxy, as working with protoss had given her a perspective that she had never encountered before, having come from a relatively backwater home and working mostly in the black afterwards. She split from Section 9, and either unwilling to acknowledge her existence or unable to stop her with her new weapons, she was allowed to go. She now roams from world to world, seeking work and perhaps some meaning to her life.Personality:
Sam is an uncompromising warrior, having never known circumstances that would have allowed softness. She will kill without remorse if it suits her purpose, and weakness is not tolerated. However, since she's broken from Section 9, she's been exposed to many new types of people she had never interacted with before, and is struggling to adjust to the world outside the one she had known. Strengths/Weakness:
Sam is extraordinarily hardy both mentally and physically, and has the skills and tools to match. However, she can be somewhat socially inept, being ignorant of both social norms and the feelings of others. She is rather crass and blunt, being from a prisoner-founded contained world. In battle her weaknesses are few, but among people, there is little in her favor.
