I fear I may have gone a bit overboard with the background info... What can I say the character grabbed hold of me and wouldn't let go untill I had told his story.
Name: Ignance Karakasy
Ignance is a large man, his body built up from years a military lifestyle and all the rigors that said lifestyle demands. He is roughly 6”2’, he has jet black hair which he keeps at a moderate length. He has very thick facial hair which is also jet black, not giving any hint to his age. His shoulders are quite broad, almost on the verge of being abnormally so. He has multiple battle scars running the length of his arms and legs. As well as a thin scar cutting down the length of the right side of his face. He wears these injuries as a mark of honor, rather than one of shame, and a reminder to all that he has seen and lived through the horrors of war.
Brief History: Ignance hails from a small nation on the eastern fringe of the map. A land were the sword still rules the battle field, and science is largely second to tradition and superstition. As a boy Ignance was raised in a war zone. His home in the midst of a fierce civil war between the loyalist forces of the Sultan and the rebel forces of the Parliment which were attempting to secede and take a large portion of the nation’s territory with them. He was conscripted into the Sultanate military after his father and mother were killed by parliament forces. There he not only survived, he excelled. Scoring high marks in all of his training classes and earning command of an infantry company at the relatively young age of 21 years. For a time he was content to progress through the ranks, and fight the Suntan’s war, using his own personal desire for revenge as fuel to take the fight to Parliament forces throughout the nation. Slowly but surely the Parliament was pushed back to a final bastion built into the side of a mountain. In this time Ignance had Risen to the rank of Grand General, answering only to the Sultan himself. Ignance was then assigned to insure the protection of the Sultan’s palace and of the capital city. While overseeing the palace’s defenses Ignance realized two things. The first of which was that the Sultan was a horrible leader, allowing ignorance to guide the nation’s culture in the place of enlightenment and intelligence. His second realization(and perhaps the more important of the two) was that the Palace Guard, the Capital City’s garrison, and the majority of the Sultanate Army held a closer loyalty to him, than to the Sultan. Needless to say it was but a few short days before Ignance found himself on the Sultan’s throne, the last Parliament forces wiped away, and all his legitimate rivals for the throne having been assassinated. From his first day on the throne Ignance began enacting programs to bring his country up the technological and cultural standards of the world. In keeping with this he actively sought out any and all symbols of authority and power both to secure his place with his people and amongst his neighboring countries. It was this ‘quest’ for legitimacy that brought his attention to Lady Viola’s auction and to the fact that pet angels were very much a symbol of power and clout. Not needing to know more Ignance set out with his escort of Lucifer Blacks, those members of his original unit who had survived to become his elite body guard, intent on arriving in time to take part in this season’s auction.
