Finding a roommate was a daunting task - who could she trust after what she had been through?

Sighing she sat down to think about who she could invite in. What if the person she invited in turned out to be a jerk.

It was a risk she had to take. A screening of sorts would have to be done - once she had a few names. Maybe the university forums had some ads?

She got up and went to her brother's computer which was still on. Maybe the university had an add about how many people were looking for a place to stay.

Placing an ad on the university forums would be a good idea as well - she'd be less likely to waste time talking to students who already found something, but did not bother to remove their ads.

It took her a few moments before she found the right site and then started her add. She would not let anyone sleep in the room her brother used but a different one.

Posting the add took not much time, then it was back to waiting. A few glances at some other ads was a mixed experience - some of the contact ads were almost frightening, those had to be jokes! Others were like encrypted messages. Should she post the real adress too, or wait until there were interested people? Most would know that it was here where her brother...

She thought it would be best to wait to give her address to someone who might be interested. Someone that attempted to contact her might be a little weird and she might get into trouble. Slowly she pulled herself away from the computer and headed downstairs. Her stomach made a noise and even though she was hungry she did not want to eat.

(No, I just wanted to say that he doesn't sound that truthful - like the "Fine" one usually hears when one asks a casual acquaintance "How do you do", regardless of how they are actually doing.)

She caught the meaning of the word and smiled slightly. "Oh he had your number written on a pad of paper." She half told the truth because it was etched in the paper underneath.
