It is a heavy package this time, from a shop in Europe. The delivery man, possibly a college student with a sidejob, or a washout, flirts a bit with her.

She did not mind the little bit of flirting it felt good since she was pregnant. "Thanks." She smiled back at him and took the package.

The man left with his van, leaving her with a heavy package. A big 'Sealed' sticker partially obscured the address of the shop.

What was in this box? She picked it up careful not to touch her stomach and brought it inside.

The package was heavy, and did not rattle - so whatever was inside was wrapped up well. A number of stickers on the package proclaimed "books". From her brother's room the odd music was heard again.

She could not bring up the box it was too heavy and she was feeling sick to her stomach. Slowly she walked upstairs and knocked on his door for him to come down and get the package.

Craig opened his door, angry at the interruption. He looked as if he hadn't slept too well lately too, and his hair was unkempt. The music was louder now, with the door open, and sounded as if it used a lot of organs - heavy and slow. "What do you want now?"

She winced and pulled back when the door opened. "You have a package." She said simply turning away and going to the washroom. Morning sickness.

Craig doesn't answer, but hurries down the stairs. "Where is it? Where is it?" His voice starts to raise, then he must have spotted the package, and falls silent. She can hear how he all but runs up the stairs and then hears his door slam - he must have pushed it close with his hands still carrying the book, as soon as he was inside his room.

The music is turned down soon so she doesn't catch it outside his room anymore - just outside his window, and even there it is faint. Craig stays inside his room the whole afternoon.

When he came back upstairs he could hear her throwing up in the washroom. Would he think something is wrong with her and come talk to her? When she was done she leaned against the wall of the washroom and sighed. This baby was getting to her and she only started having morning sickness in the last month.

Craig doesn't seem to care, if he even hard her. Or at least doesn't seem to care more for her than for the package he got delivered - some old book. Evening approaches, and dinnertime with it. The weather is turning ugly as well - stormy winds according to the forecast - and the sky's turning dark before the sun's down.

When she was done she got out noticing something was different. The house was darker then normal around this time and she had not heard about the storm that was coming. Slowly she walked down stairs to start making food for her and her brother.

The storm soon hits the house's area. Nothing too dangerous, but strong enough so people wouldn't go out unless they have to. Powerlines could get struck, of course, and internet access might be disrupted.

Craig doesn't come out until the evening when he stomps down the stairs and enters the kitchen, peering at his sister. "What are you cooking?" he asks, glancing at the fridge.

When she was young she hated storms and she still did. The only person that could calm her was her brother but he was gone. "Chicken noodle soup." She said not feeling well enough to cook anything else.

"Chicken Soup?" Craig frowns, and checks the fridge. Apparently finding nothing that suits his taste better, and with the storm rendering it impossible to order pizza he grumbles something that can be called "ok" if one is generous, and goes to slump down in the living room, zapping through the television channels.

"I'm sorry I'm just feeling sick today." She said knowing he wanted something more then chicken soup but that was all she could make. About 10 minutes later she put two bowls on the kitchen table and sat down on one of the chairs.

Craig grabs the bowl, an wolves it down with a grunt, then gets the rest of the soup without asking if she wants some more. "Should learn to cook something other than this."

She did not get very much and sighed when he took the rest. She took a spoonful and put it in her mouth. "I told you I am not feeling well. I know how to cook other stuff."

"No you wouldn't. It's not on the outside." Feeling him call her lazy made her feel sad.

"Yeah, in your head." Craig scoffs at her. "I am busy this evening, don't bother me in my room." He walks out, heading to his room. The door closes with an audible crack and she soon can hear the music again - louder this time, and sounding somewhat off.

When he said those words a few tears streamed down her face. Why was he like this? She did not finish her dinner and put the dishes in her sink after he went upstairs.

The house feels colder and lonely with her alone in it. The storm has grown stronger, and water's splashing against the windows. Occasionaly she hears the crack of thunder, and can spot what looks like flashes in the distance. Outside it's very dark now - even the familiar garden looks strange with so many shadows turning it into a maze full of dark corners.

Even when she was younger she hated storms and now this was no different. She hurried into her bedroom and under the covers. He knew about her fear of storms and wished he could give her one of his hugs that made everything all better.

Suddenly the whole house shakes and she hears a loud crash ad breaking glass from the first floor. Wind and thunder sound different, a bit closer maybe.
