Modern Day Love Story

Okay,
An idea I had for a story, as cliche as it may sound, is a modern day romeo and juliette, set with two mafia families who are at odds.
The only daughter of one family (me) meets and eventually falls in love with the son (can be eldest and the one who will take over the family, or the more overlooked second son) of the rival family.
From there, I would be open to discussing the story plot and ideas.
