I've heard a lot of good things about 8. Seven's next up on my playlist (I'm a completionist. Don't ask how many hours I've racked up leveling weapons in DC2, unless you really want to point and laugh.)

I assume you're referring to hardcore mode?

Indeed...and with Oniya being a completionist..she's going to be tearing her hair out in anger over it. ^_^

Let's just say this, Oniya..he's stronger than the final boss. A LOT stronger...and if you don't get a certain item beforehand, you'll also be on a timer during the fight...a timer which will definitely run out before you even make a scratch in his HP.

Of course, if you get said item, the easiest way to beat him would be to cast Knights of the Roundx4, Which would probably kill him out-right...but then again, that's the entire reason you're fighting him in the first place, to be able to get that Materia! HA!

...So yeah..me thinks Oniya's going to have some unhappy times ahead when she meets the weapons.

Put it this way. I ran back and forth through N-Zone trying to collect enough Dragon Lances to kill Shinryu - who I could have walked by at any time. By the time I was done, I had not collected 8 Dragon Lances (it had gotten to the point where people heard me saying 'Damn, another Elixir!'), and all characters had mastered 'Bare'. I also busted a light fixture by jumping up directly underneath it when I heard the victory music.

And she'll still fly into a rage when Emerald Weapon beats her for the Nth time.

Anything..I think you're on a timer whether you have the Item to breath underwater or not, because I think after a certain amount of time, he just performs an instant-kill move on your whole party.

Though, I could be wrong..

Well, at least I haven't replaced the light fixture yet. That means I won't break it again when I finally pwn Emerald.

Psh....You'll never pwn him! Never!....Plus there are like, 2-3 other ones, too.

Though, one is a boss you have to fight anyway, and another (Ultimate Weapon) is weaker than than Emerald And Ruby.

Also, for us 360 Owners...opinions on Microsoft upping the price of Xbox Live?...I use Subscription cards, myself..soo...

My Backloggery handles the Now Playing thing pretty good but I'm not technically playing much. Been trying for a month or so to build a competent magic build on Morrowind GotY Xbox but is hard. X|

I finished my Mass Effect 2 Insanity playthrough and am wondering when if ever heavy weapons are useful... Oh wait! M70 Cain! For when it absolutely has to die!

(Still ended up pumping rapid-fire sniper rounds into the final boss though...)

I lost Miranda on that game but meh. Someone has to die. Unless it's my Paragon game from Mass Effect 1. That guy is an absolute god. He's my deepest character too despite his boyscoutish demeanor.
