Bwahahaha! Eat it, suckah! xD

Picked up Wartech on 360. Wow, worst story mode I've ever seen... but it seems a decent fighting game, and was only 8 bucks, so will save for multiplayer.

Except they were so lazy with Shadorun 360 they never created a single player campaign. Bastards.

Just finished Portal!

I love that game, although after I finished it I realized that I had never played the original half life. So I started to and while Im not very far in the game yet I cant help but feel like its just an average FPS with little to no story going. It has atmosphere but Im wondering how this was acclaimed one of the greatest games of all FPS's

Because it revolutionized what a PC FPS could be? The original was outstanding for it's time, especially compared to what was out at the same time..but Half life 2 is better in every way. :P

Because Seinfeld Is Unfunny:
Quote from: TV Tropes
The original Half Life, being the first modern, highly scripted first person shooter with adaptive AI, now seems somewhat typical after being endlessly copied, ripped off and modified by just about every first person shooter that came after it.
  • Believe it or not, Half Life had its own inspiration(s) too. Anyone remember Jurassic Park Trespasser?
  • Back when I played Half-Life for the first time, I thought it was a total rip-off of Bungie's Marathon.
Apparently wasn't even that innovative...

I think both half life games were games of time and place; today they really aren't that good when compared with modern stuff.

Half Life 1 and 2 are still superb games, though I can agree, they aren't mythical levels of awesome anymore. Still, Half Life 2 is one of the best examples of great game design out there, if not the best. Valve really does prove the importance of play testing and feed back. If all developers were like them, gaming would be a paradise.

I think Dead Rising 2 took a page from Brutal Legend... just Combined a guitar and an amp, rolled into the centre of a zombie mosh pit and then jammed. Shockwave!

Hahaha! The Chef's Knife special attack is grabbing a zombie by his shoulder, then stabbing him repeatedly to the horror/slasher theme. "NE! NE! NE! NE!"

I also mixed boxing gloves with motor oil to make fire punches :) Guna see if I can make some kind of Wolverine claw weapon soon... For some reason, the motor oil and leaf blower doesn't make a flamethrower :/

Nope xD

I just got Gems and a Flash Light and though gee, wouldn't it be funny if these made a Lightsabre? Clicked Combine... had a Lightsabre. A few seconds stunned silence then I go "No fucking way! =D"

Got Dead Rising 2 on launch yesterday, passed up on any of the collector's editions since I'm moderately low on cash but man this game is totally awesome and now I kind of wish I had a Zombrex pen:-<
Seriously, with the exception of missing Frank "I've covered wars!" West this game is better in every way than the first--which is nice because I really wasn't fond of the first game.

Bit of an obscure complaint (not really one, more an observation) but Dead Rising 2 was revealed with the big, stunning announcement that it would take place in a Las Vegas style pleasure city. And that was an awesome announcement, because it really one upped the Shopping Mall setting.

But honestly, I can't see the difference :/ at all. Fortune City is just Willamette Mall with more outdoor eating areas and a few indoor casino's. If it doesn't have streets, it's not a city.

Broke out the GBA for a little Dawn of Souls action.  (We had a power outage yesterday - it was one of the few things that didn't require a lot of light!)

Considering the decision of the USK not to rate Dead Rising and therefore made a release in Germany impossible, I hate to read about how awesome Dead Rising or it's sequel is. This thread is not much fun these days...
