Revamp :: How to start up again?

Hello! Good day, good afternoon, good evening and good night!

It has been a good long while (( nearly 3 years now )) since I've written on this site for personal reasons. However, I have pondered lately whether I am ready to come back to write a bit more?

In this, I wondered if I might have some suggestions? On how to go about getting back into the roleplaying/writing scene with others? As I can be quite timid in all aspects, I would be happy to get a nudge in the right direction! My hope is that I might find a partner or two to do some casual writing with no heavy weight of urgent need to reply so I can ease into things? But I know, as I know my own orientation much better now than I did before :: that I have a need for people who don't want to push secksuality (( yes don't mind me and my casual dorky spelling )) to the forefront but for it to be an option someday?

With all this in mind, how does one phrase such things when making a request in the forums? As, it is a bit complex... given I don't mind hard/rough/darker elements but I do like to build up to them rather than jump straight in? Since I rather afford my characters a background story and bonding time before leaping into things physically? So I don't think it ought to be labeled as a 'light' request... yet.... I dunno what it would be deemed as in ways of tagging?

How does one reel in the right crowd and not scare away those who might be truly interested?

Additionally, perhaps I ought to try to casually socialize here or there? To reintroduce myself to the good folke of Elliquiy?

I mean, I think you already outlined it well enough here. So you can just put that in the request thread with a big:

NOTE! Returning player, need to get warmed up again so you need to be a bit patient.

And so on...

And as for tagging it, you can go.. hmm name the thread something like:

The Secretary and the Boss (Rough, Slowburn, bondage, casual.)

So I am looking for a story about a sexy secretary (MC) and her boss (YC). yada yada yada

NOTE: I am returning to E and roleplaying so might need to ease into it a bit. Please be patient and I want this to be a slow burn, give us time to get to know our characters.

You don't really need to make it more difficult than that in my opinion.

As for as socializing, it is how I pick up the VAST majority of my stories. hang around the various games/social/pic threads and the stories will come.

Slowburn is a term I never thought to put in my title/tags! So actually that small thought should hopefully go a long way in helping me find my target audience/partner!!! Thank you so much for that!

As far as socializing goes.... I always have a hard time knowing how to behave... (( or misbehave )) in social areas on elliquiy... but I know just sitting on the sidelines looking in won't get me much of anywhere! So hopefully I can ease my way in.

It's always a bit difficult for me since I am a Demisexual with asexual tendencies, where I can only handle a certain degree of sexiness before I get the 'vapors' as it were and just don't quite know what to do with myself. (( Other than flee !!! )) With a bit of fumbling and muddling through the threads, hopefully I'll find my happy place !!!

Just remember that you don't have to socialize 'sexy'.  We've got places to discuss what we're reading, listening to, watching on TV/YT/etc. - Most people aren't 'on' all the time.  'Adult conversation' is allowed to be simple conversation among adults.

Yessss yessss, so I have seen! I'm not sure why I recollected it all as being much more strictly sexy... as I did once socialize in the threads/forums social area long ago! It is a very quiet casual area! Hopefully I don't stir up the pot there too often that it perturbs others!!! I will do my best to find my comfort zone though thank you!!! <3
