Work in progress

I am looking for players interested in a small group game set in a fantasy world with a slavery theme.

The basic idea would be that the party gets betrayed on a quest, and they are enslaved and taken to a city/land where female slavery is common.

This game could include non-consent and darker themes that fall in the extreme category.

Disclaimer: Although I am not entirely new to roleplaying, this will be my first time running a small group game as a GM. I have run a few solo games (mainly freeform) in a GM role.

I thought it would be interesting to use a simple system to randomize combat outcomes. I have been tinkering with a custom system that I have already used in-game, but not much.
Custom rules:
I
II
III

The TL'DR: the system is based on a single D20; skills and equipment give an additional bonus.

Let me know if you are interested in joining. I am also open to your suggestions.

Oh, I might be interested. What are the rules and how it the game played?

Could I play an elf?

Count me in. I can play either as a rogue (think of Felina in the Misadventures of a thief) or as a Red Sonja type of warrioress (as in my avatar).

Thank you both for your interest.

I have added my custom rule set to the first post. These rules are not fixed, and you can suggest modifications.

The character types that you proposed are good. If you want, you could already flesh out characters a bit more. Like a bit of backstory, that decides their skills (2-3 things they are good at) and what kind of equipment (weapons, armour) they have initially.

Hm…that losing skill system seems to imply we’re going to be immediately hit with at least one level lost once we get captured. Not saying that’s necessarily a bad thing, gotta get back in shape after being restrained for so long, but I’m assuming the time it would take to reach slave land is at least a week.

I’m certainly still interested in the idea. I have two possible ideas off the top of my head: a Halfling Rogue-type or a Minotaur Barbarian. If you’d like to stick with more traditionally humanoid types, I can change that last one. I have lots of potential characters for fantasy stuff, I can adapt to the party structure to fill in holes

I'd love to join if this is still open! I was thinking a thief/rogue type also, but I don't mind mixing it up. I'm not sure how much of a party balance we would need with this rule set if it's just based off one die, but I don't mind changing it either way just for the sake of variety depending on everyone else's prefs.

I finished BG3 recently and I wouldn't mind using MC as a ref. I can add a little more detail if that's a sure thing. She could be a sort of Dex fighter, too, instead of a rogue type?

Reading over the system again and something about the weapons is confusing me.

So the item rarity to hit makes sense to me, but when it comes to the weapon category, it doesn’t make sense to me. Light, medium, and heavy weapons work, but I’m assuming the bonus in that category is boost to damage, yes? In which case, since no requirements or detriments for each weapon is listed that I can see…why wouldn’t you just use heavy weapons only? It does way more damage and there’s no seeming difference between the three besides that. Can light weapons attack multiple times due to their size? Are medium weapons better for defense due to their size and weight? I don’t know, I’m not seeing anything in relation to that.

I’m not trying to pick apart the system and be a naysayer, I can definitely see something fun in here. I just want to make sure I understand it when I go to fully stat out a character.

AurelieCatena

The system looks interesting. I think weapons should be chosen as to fit one's character role. For instance, a double-handed sword would be very impractical for a rogue, in most situations.

I'm a bit concerned with the wound system as it might be too realistic. Once you have your arm or leg broken, you are out for several weeks. Maybe there should be three levels:
- Minor wound : no effect, except they accumulate and can lead to a medium wound
- Medium wound: temporary wound that gives debuff but will be healed after some care and a good sleep.
- Major wound: broken bones, etc. that will take weeks to heal.

I'm not even sure that major wounds are really useful. They seem to break the RP too much.

Thank you all for your interested. It is up to you what kind of characters you want to play. I do want not limit you there on any way. However, it looks like there are some overlap between some of the characters proposed by different people. I saw Barbarian and Rogue at least mentioned twice.

Regarding the concerns about the rules. The rules still need some finetuning and I am not opposed to changing them if they don't work for you.

They are also more ment as guidelines and a way to randomize outcomes of encounters. But it is true if we would follow them strictly, character might get gravely injured or characters who are enslavedd might start loosing skills but they might also learn some new ones. But I never used that part of the rules before, because I rarely end up with large time jumps in the story line. So that is still untested and I don't know how well it will work.

FacelessCambion is right a heavy weapon and armor is always better in a one on one situation. This advantage is offset though when multiple lighter combatants attack a heavy fighter. The light fighter get one attack each, against which the heavy fighter can still defend against individually but he only gets one attack per round and has to choose a target.

The rules also do not really cover character creation yet, but it would be somewhat limited by a budget too. A bigger weapon costs more, so there would be some compromise on armor. For example, you could go for a heavy plate armor but then you would only be able to afford a butter knife as a weapon. Or you go for a biggest sword in the world, but you would have to go adventuring naked. Though, that might give you bonus against male adversies through distraction.

But I don't want to restrict character creation to much. As Aurelie has pointed out everyone should be able to play the character they want.

The system might a bit too realistic, but again it is more intended to be guidelines. And since things would take place in a fantasy world, there can be magic involved to heal wounds quickly after combat.

Since Rogue and Barbarian have been chosen multiple times, I think I’ll pull out my Halfling Ranger.

Her name is Eagle Eye and she’s a hunter and survivalist. Spending most of her life on the outskirts of society, she was raised to know how to live off the land and interact with the beasts of the wild. Years later, she would make her way into the cities to earn some money and discovered her hunting skills worked pretty well on people as well. That’s how she met the current party.

Eagle is a bit quiet and stoic since she’s used to being alone in the woods, waiting for hours in a tree in silence while waiting for prey to enter her sight. As such, she can often be mistaken for brooding when she’s simply off in her own thoughts. She is, however, extremely loyal to her party members. Though due to only having animal companions for years after losing her father early on, she displays a protectiveness and affection towards them that one would associate with pets, hence a lot of physical touch and providing things like food or other small gifts.

Figured Archery for her would be higher, boosted Agility, but not to the extent of a Rogue, and a bit extra Strength due to all the climbing ahead has to do. Perception definitely due to having to track things, but otherwise baseline for the other stats. Probably equipped initially with a crossbow and knives as backup, along with leather armor.

I’ll edit this later to include a pic, I’m at work and uploading pics on mobile is a pain.

I sent everyone an invite to a dedicated Discord server.

Heya :)

I'd be interested to join also.

As a character I'd propose :
Name: Phoebe Nyx
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight, but could be forced to bisexuality or even pansexuality with the (hopefully) adequate training
Height: 5'7
Weight : 124lbs
Age: 22
Bust size : BB

Personality:

Phoebe is a cunning and resourceful woman, driven by a sharp intellect and a survivor's instinct. Once a skilled thief with a quick wit and a love for independence, she's now struggling with the seductive pull of Rapture, a powerful addictive drug that induce erotic bliss and heightened libido. Despite her growing addiction, she retains a strong will and keen observational skills, making her both perceptive and adaptive. She craves control, whether over her environment or her own desires, but her vulnerability to temptation often clouds her judgment. Phoebe's complexity lies in the tension between her yearning for freedom and her submission to darker forces, making her both resilient and conflicted.

Appearance: see picture

Kinks: Forced sex, forced homosexuality, forced oral sex, forced anal sex, oral sex training, anal sex training, vibrators, heavy bondage, sex machines, gang bangs, tentacles, bukkake, sperm play, sperm feeding, piercings, tattooing/branding, brainwashing, bimboification, beastiality(dogs), sexual training, blackmail, bdsm, aphrodisiacs, latex, forced dressing, behavior modification, cumswapping, sexual slavery

greypsychman

I am interested. I am also assuming you want female characters. Here is my draft.

As a character I'd propose :
Name: Marika Eskola
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Sexuality: Bisexual
Height: 5'5
Weight : 120 lbs
Age: 23
Bust size : DD

Personality:
Marika has a friendly and generally optimistic point of view. She is outgoing and rarely meets someone that she dislikes. One interesting point is that Marika seems to have two personalities! She is deadly serious and all business when in a dangerous situation leading up to a fight. While not physically intimidating, there is something about her presence that makes people decide she is not to be underestimated. Over the years, Marika has proven herself to be a brave and courageous fighter. Her other personality comes out in most other situations. She displays a lighter side and is quick with a smile, joke, or teasing taunt. Marika  particularly enjoys singing and dancing. Marika is definitely a party animal who enjoys long nights of drinking and sex!

Appearance: see picture

Kinks: Forced sex, forced oral sex, dildos, light bondage, threesomes, tentacles, bukkake, aphrodisiacs, cumswapping, sexual slavery

Limits: snuff, dolcett, mutilation, child, high pain/tort, bathroom play

Felina

Felina the poacher
Species: Human
Age: 21
Sexuality: Asexual

Description
Felina is a wiry, agile young woman with a wild and untamed presence. Her most striking feature is her long, fiery-red, curly hair—often tangled and streaked with dirt from days spent in the wilderness. Her green eyes, sharp and calculating, miss little, always scanning for danger or opportunity. Her skin is sun-kissed and lightly freckled, bearing the marks of a life spent outdoors. She moves with a predator’s grace, her calloused hands and lean muscles a testament to years of climbing, hunting, and surviving on the run. She wears simple, practical clothing—leathers and furs, often patched and repaired—and carries an assortment of knives, lockpicks, and a well-worn shortbow.

Psychology
Felina is a survivor, hardened by loss and betrayal. She trusts few and prefers the company of the wild to that of people. Cunning and resourceful, she relies on her instincts, which have kept her alive this long. Though she can be cold and ruthless when necessary, she isn’t without a sense of justice—especially toward those who abuse power, like the nobles who took everything from her. She has a rebellious streak, refusing to bow to authority, and takes pleasure in outsmarting those who hunt her. Despite her rough exterior, she has a soft spot for the oppressed and often helps those who’ve been wronged by the same systems that destroyed her family.

Biography
Born into a family of timber loggers, Felina grew up on the edges of civilization, learning the ways of the forest from an early age. When food got scarce and the local baron’s taxes grew heavier, she turned to poaching to survive. But when she was caught at thirteen, her parents paid the price—publicly hanged as an example. Felina, small and quick, slipped her bonds and vanished into the woods before the noose could claim her too.
Since then, she has lived as an outlaw—poaching, thieving, and striking back where she can. She became a ghost in the baron’s domain, always one step ahead of his hunters. Her reputation grew: a red-haired wraith who could slip through locks, vanish into the trees, and leave traps for those foolish enough to chase her. But when the bounty on her head grew too high, she had no choice but to flee, leaving behind the only home she’d ever known.
Now, she wanders, a rogue without a nation, selling her skills to those who pay—or those who earn her loyalty. Whether as a scout, a thief, or a hunter of corrupt men, Felina survives by her wits, her arrows, and her refusal to ever be caught again.

I am also planting a flag of interest!

Name:  Mirror D'thsyir
Race:  Dark Elf
Class:  Witch (I don't know if your campaign supports magic, but I am trying to avoid too much class overlap)
Sexuality:  Bisexual
Sexual Preference:  Dominant (I am very aware that Mirror will not get to exercise her preference very often :P)

Description:  Mirror is harsh and demanding.  She was raised in the caverns below the world and sees most surfacers as coddled and weak.  She sees herself as a natural leader but tends to lead by intimidation and browbeating as opposed to charisma.  She is  a witch and excels at potionmaking and augury, but is somewhat lacking in spur-of-the moment situations, lacking the ability to shoot fire or the like.  She is lithe and flexible, able to run fast and all but undetectable if she makes it underground, though her ability to hide above ground is less acute due to not being used to avoiding making noises from more brittle surroundings.

Biography:  Mirror was raised below.  She is no stranger to slavery and doesn't consider it immoral, though she is very confused that this surfaceland sees women as the weaker sex.  When she came across that particular caveat she just knew she had to oppose it.  She was good... she used her skills at augary to identify areas which were weakly guarded and led a daring assault which led to a smattering of slaves being liberated - temporarily.  Unfortunately, Mirror fell victim to a pair of miscalculations.

1) that the free'd slaves would help her overthrow their oppressors or, in fact, be worth a damn in a fight to begin with.
2) that the men guarding the camp would be incompetent, barely knowing one end of their sword from another.

She fought well, but the lack of backup eventually led to her being overwhelmed and 'disciplined' in a way that over-confident men often use when they find a lithe and flexible elf-kin at their mercy... but she wasn't really AT their mercy.  Once things quieted down and she and the slaves were returned to their quarters, she subtly brewed a fire-breathing potion and set what lodgings she could access ablaze, slipping out in the ensewing confusion.

She has since made her way out of the slaver's lands, penniless and wearing urchin's garb at best, joining up with the first adventuring trope she found in a bid to reverse her fortunes.
