Welcome!

I'm looking to pick up a roleplay or two, with partners who are a good fit. If you're here I expect you are looking for a new RP too.  I hope you find something that appeals to you below.  If so, please feel free to PM me.

Basics

I am interested in M/M stories that are heavy on plot and character development.  Romance is fine, but I'm also happy to write characters who are brought into each other's orbits in different ways and for other reasons.  My main interest is in a rich, complex, and interesting story. 

I typically write 400-1000 words per post but am happy to match my partner's length so long as I'm given something to work with.  As my posts (and my partner's) tend to be lengthier I prefer to roleplay via Google Docs, but I will also play on the forums.  I am happy to chat and plot via discord, but will not roleplay there.  The character limit drives me absolutely mad. 

While nearly all of my games are written in the past-tense, third person (and I am more than happy to write that way) I also have a huge soft spot for epistolary roleplay.  If this appeals to you, let me know.

Genres

My favorite genres are military/paramilitary, superheroes, and zombie apocalpyse.  I'm particularly interested in superheroes and zombie apocalypse at the moment.  I also enjoy scifi, fantasy, action, and slice of life. 

I've written many an original plot, and am happy to do so.  Though I have a special love of writing within an existing fandom and will basically always go in for Avengers with canon characters.  I'm also deeply into Zombies Run and would love to do something with canon or original characters set in that world.  Even if you haven't experienced the game, the world is pretty rich and fun and might make a good setting for something wholly original.

The prospect of coming up with a new idea collaboratively is particularly appealing at the moment, so I have not posted any prefabricated plots even though I have a few that are always in my back pocket.  Feel free to ask me about them.

Logistics

I'm a single dad to young twins, working full time, and life is absolute madness.  Roleplaying is the main place I'm finding a bit of diversion and calm in the eye of the storm.  It's also nice to have a chance to talk to another grown up, even on the web. In an ideal world I'd get out about one post per day, but to be entirely transparent and set reasonable expectations, my posting rate will depend entirely on the unpredictable whims of the kids for the foreseeable future. 

I'd like to find a partner who doesn't need a daily post to trust that their partner is still committed to the story.  I'll communicate as best I can if I'm going to be tied up for a bit, but might also just knock out a post after being absent for ten days.  Not ideal, I know, but also potentially unavoidable.  On the flip side, I might have a day where I can get out three or four posts.  It's a total toss up right now. 

TL;DR:  I'd like a partner who is flexible and understanding regarding posting schedule.  I'll gladly extend the same consideration to you.
