Hello everyone – throwing an idea here that I’ve had for a while and maybe it’ll stick with a few of you. I’ll keep it brief since I tend to become overeager and write like a madman before anything takes off. So, I’m interested in playing a character or two in a pantheon of demigod to godlike beings who can be either real-world gods or OCs of your own creation. The world (influences are a blend between fantasy D&D-esque planes, Earth’s pre-modern societies & their mythologies, and more) they exist in is broken but full of potential and it is up to these deities to make it safe for mortals and rebuild. Players will be able to work either alone or together however they see fit. I see them getting into all sorts of messy shenanigans with mortals and each other – not just killing monsters and claiming glory but manipulation, politics, and all sorts of fun plots and schemes. I’m more than happy to GM this and as mentioned above, would be an active player as well. I would be keen on using a system for this as well as opposed to freeform. I’m a big fan of the Godbound rules and am more than happy to help others learn and understand them as well. They aren’t too complicated and would allow for a wide assortment of cool powers and incorporate gameplay mechanics such as building up a mass following based on your character’s achievements in the world. Let me know if you’re interested in collaborating! If this doesn’t take off here, I’d consider running it as a group on Discord.

I’d like to show my own interest in this. I haven’t played Godbound before, but I like the idea of eventually ascending into a godlike being, in a roleplay. Especially with a healthy amount of adventure.

Noted, thanks for your interest! Godbound isn't complicated at all - simpler than D&D I'd say. It relies less on rolling and more on story and world-building.

Sounds good. I’m more of a fan of Greek and Norse myths, if that helps too. I should warn that I’m not much of a GM, so I’d just be playing mostly.

Godbound! (ears perk up) I have just the scholarly Dragon for the occasion (if Lexicon of the Throne material is not out of the question)!

I would be interested in this. I love mythology. Never tried Godbound but I have played Scion 1st edition.
