I've seen a meme or two about it, but that is it.

I am personally terrified of the kiwi-on-a-pizza. 

Pineapple has its place in savory foods, the mix of sweet, salty, savory are all good and I WILL die on that hill. It works with onion, bell peppers, tomatoes, bbq sauce and chicken. You see it in Hawaiian dishes paired with shrimp or pork all of the time so it makes sense to pair pineapple and pizza.

But Kiwi?? The texture alone would throw me off it completely. And it is a real thing that I have seen and am terrified by.

Also a new thing I've been forced to confront as a recent-ish midwesterner -- what on EARTH is breakfast pizza and why do people buy it from a gas station ??

I can't explain the gas station, but breakfast pizza, at least the kind that am old employer of mine made, is fantastic.

Take pizza dough, pour on a mixture of what is basically scrambled eggs and various cheeses mixed together, top with bits of sausage, bacon, ham, whatever, and voila!

I like breakfast Quiche: hashbrown crust, egg and bacon and other omelet filings. So good.

When I tell my coworkers that I'll have fried rice for breakfast I get the weirdest looks. But think about it. You've got brown rice and fried egg and veg. How does that not work as a hot breakfast entree? How is it any different from say, eggs and toast?

That's incredibly valid of them, in all fairness. 

I guess I'll have to give 'breakfast pizza' a try. I hadn't really considered it as something I'd want but I like breakfast quiche myself and I suppose its not altogether too different (carb, egg and cheese, breakfast protein, veggies).

I'll never be sold on the kiwi pizza, though.
