As we continue building this world together, we’re looking for fresh faces to bring new energy and depth to our tale. With that in mind, we have a few requests for incoming residents:

◇ Traditional Homes Only – Truesdale is a town of hardworking folks, with most residents falling into the lower-middle-class or working-class range. No homes should be larger than the Mayor’s—let’s keep our skyline humble. We’ll be providing examples below for reference when it comes to homes in the Hills and trailers at Pine Heights so the towns aesthetic is more clear. Additionally, Truesdale isn’t the place for modern glass-and-steel mansions. Think cozy farmhouses, charming Victorians, and sturdy brick builds—homes that fit the town’s character and history.

◇ More Than Just a Family Tragedy – While we respect the classic "returning after a loss" backstory, we’d love to see characters arrive for a variety of reasons. Are they chasing a dream? Running from a past? Seeking power, love, or maybe just a fresh start? Let’s mix it up!

At the same time, we’d also love to see longtime residents who have deep roots in Truesdale. Maybe they’re the owner of a struggling family business, a stubborn farmer who refuses to sell their land, a retired factory worker with a sharp tongue, or a local busybody who’s always in everyone’s business. These characters help shape the town’s identity and give it the rich, lived-in feel we’re aiming for.

At the moment, we will not be accepting anymore character with 'lost loved one' backgrounds. This does not include ones that have already sent us their sheets. If you've already sent one and we've talked to you about it, it's okay.

◇ The Gangs Need Members—Which Side Are You On? – Truesdale’s underbelly is growing, and both of its rising gangs are looking for new blood:

⬩ The Jackals – A homegrown gang that started with a group of reckless teens and has since evolved into something much more dangerous. They’ve recently begun moving harder drugs through town, worsening Truesdale’s drug problem and solidifying their grip on the local scene. Whether you’re a longtime member, a desperate recruit, or someone looking to exploit their growing influence, there’s plenty of room to stir up trouble.

⬩ The Iron Talons – A powerful organization based out of Seattle, now extending its reach into Truesdale. Originally using the town as a place to lay low, they’ve started setting up operations, bringing an organized and ruthless edge that the locals aren’t used to. Maybe you're a seasoned enforcer sent to keep things in line, a fresh recruit eager to prove yourself, or someone caught in their web. Either way, The Iron Talons aren’t here to play nice.

Whether you're here to shake things up or just survive the chaos, Truesdale is only as rich as the characters within it—let’s make it unforgettable!

It's sorta a reboot. There have been changes made in the town and premise of things, so I do suggest reading through again. Once you do, you can definitely shoot me and Fluffy a character for approval!

With some recent changes, the owners for both the liquor store and the diner are back open. We don't have many people in the gangs yet. We're more than happy to have other characters as well and would be happy to have new players join us!

We could use an owner for the diner, it has a few employees that are PCs. I think Layne was looking for some connections with their character Kieran. I think Vael might be looking for more with Danny. I don't have a lot going on with Beau. There are a lot of choices. I don't remember if I have you on discord?

I am currently working on a member for the Iron Talons. But they wouldn't be high up on the totem pole. Would it be OK if they helped launder money and sell drugs from the tattoo shop they work at? They'd be around age 30. But if that fits more with the Jackals' MO, that's fine too. Thanks!

Hey all! We are still open and plugging along! We do have quite a few slots open now for various business owners (the liquor store and the town diner). We also are more open to an array of different sorts of characters due to some of our players parting ways with us (no hard feelings!).

So, I just wanted to give this a little boost. Could definitely use more gang members or some cops. Please hit me up if you have any questions or ideas!

I do know I just bumped this yesterday, but after a lot of thought and discussion (and maybe one too many dramatic stares out the window), we’ve decided to close the roleplay.

I want to give a massive shoutout to everyone who stuck with us through thick, thin, and the occasional chaos plot. You made this place shine, and I appreciate the heck out of you. Seriously—thank you for every word, every scene, every wild moment.

But with so many departures,  the balance has tipped, and what used to be a source of creative joy has slowly become something that weighs on me.

That’s not fair to me, and it’s not fair to you all.

So, this is where we bow out and step away. The roleplay will be closed but we will be leaving the board open for anyone who wants to continue playing or revisit their stories at their own pace. You’re welcome to carry on in whatever way works best for you.
