Earth-E… like other worlds in the multiverse it is home to superhuman beings. Also like many of its counterparts, this phenomenon is largely focused within the United States. Major American cities have at least one defender with the largest metropolises having entire teams of heroes. It became almost impossible for any self-respecting super-villain to commit crimes in peace.

That is, until the day that Detroit’s armored avenger the Mechanical Man crossed the border into Windsor in pursuit of a group of eco-extremists called Terra Rising.  His unlawful entry and severe damage he inflicted on the city just to capture some petty vandals caused the Parliament of Canada to pass the Limited Powers Act, which placed strong restrictions on American superhumans and vigilantes wishing to operate in the Great White North.

While this went unnoticed by the vast majority of the American public as does most international news, one group found the legislation to be of interest… an alliance of costumed criminals calling themselves the Syndicate of Sin. The Synners had all experienced the bitter taste of defeat at the hands of heroes, both singularly and collectively. Now they could change all that by simply going to where their enemies could not. And so the Syndicate of Sin relocated to Vancouver, chosen because it somehow reminded them of a variety of American places. Now entrenched in their new home, the Synners are turning Van City into…

ITEM! Checking interest in a freeform game about comic book villains deciding to escape American heroes by relocating to Canada. Specifically to Vancouver as a bit of a wink to how often it stands in for other cities in entertainment, especially super stuff. Plus it's really pretty there.

ITEM! The villains in question will be original creations, although inspiration from canon characters is allowed. They’ll have worked together previously as part of a team called the Syndicate of Sin. This is a sort of Secret Society/Masters of Evil type group with a fluid membership. As such, characters will need to be team players to some degree and there can be pre-existing connections. There can also be some conflict between characters as well since these are bad guys here but mostly they get along… at least if it's in their interest to.

ITEM!
As the inspiration for their move was not losing to American heroes anymore, this means the characters have been beaten in the past. Maybe a lot. This doesn’t make them losers, just people with flaws and weaknesses. So the Unstoppable Edgelord whose only drawback is his junk is a little too big for some ladies might not really work here.

ITEM! The overall vibe I’m going for here is kinda like a classic caper movie. Serious situations but with an air of fun and fraternity. And crimes, so many crimes. These are comic villains so think costumes, codenames, catchphrases, and quirks. Not saying you need to go full Batman ‘66 but feel free to let your geek flag fly. Character images can be photos or artwork, preferably ones that at least somewhat go along with the comic book theme.

ITEM! Plotwise, there will be misadventures run by your humble editrix. Participation is voluntary as being on a supervillain team isn’t like a regular job. While committing crimes is definitely a potential plot, there are others as well. The local underworld might not be too keen on outsiders moving in on their turf. Other villains might swipe the idea and the Synners have to defend what is theirs. An American hero might laugh at Canadian law and cross the border. Vancouver could be the target of an attack and our baddies really don’t feel like moving again. And they could find out that Canada having less heroes doesn’t mean they have no heroes. Suggestions for schemes will be very much welcome as well as the creation of NPCs such as the heroes who made the villains want to go north in the first place.

ITEM! There will also be sandbox threads for characters to interact on from just chatting to doing jobs of their own design to… ya know… fucking.

ITEM! And what about the… ya know… fucking? This will happen in designated threads so as not to derail any plots. Mentioning sexy stuff in posts is fine but any extended back and forth about in and out should be in the proper place. Also the Syndicate of Sin is LGBTQ+ friendly because they may be bad but they’re not awful. All members are at least 18 as there are some crimes even the Synners don’t commit.  Planning on putting this in Extreme to allow all permitted kinks but actual adventures will most likely not venture into this territory.

So who wants to be bad?

EDIT: Didn't get the interest I was hoping for but thanks to those that chimed in.

Gonna plant my interest here tentatively. Mostly due to my crazy work schedule then anything else otherwise it would be a definite interest, I absolutely LOVE comic book style games and haven't gotten to play a villain in a group game in forever.

If it helps I plan on this being fairly loose. Villains can pop in and out. Pulling a job somewhere else or something.

@Foxy DeVille good to hear, the holiday season is when stuff gets really tough to keep up my posting rate.

Currently torn between an inventor or power armor character sort of like Iron Man, feeling Engineer for a name, and a brick with a Norse theme, thinking Brunhilde for a name.
