Camp Half-Blood (Recruitment Male Characters Needed)

Twenty years ago, Percy Jackson did the unthinkable, then he did it again, and again, until people stopped doubting Percy Jackson. Percy forced all Gods to acknowledge the children that they had, learned about the existence of other places like Camp Half-Blood and worked tirelessly to learn about the other deities that exist and how to better unite demi-gods across the United States and so, Camp Half-Blood was extended. The borders grown magically to account for all attended no matter their Pantheon.

The Camp layout was changed. The cabins for the children of Gods and Goddesses were now behind magical archways that led to their pantheon. Teenagers from all walks of life filtered in. Children of Bastet, Ra, Neptune, Thor, Freyja, Anahita, Amaterasu, and many more. As they arrived at Camp Half-Blood more expansion happened. Different deities came together to make the camp safe for their children.

All characters will have to be 18 or older.

While there I will have some open world concepts to the game this will be a GM driven game where characters are sent out on quests in order to obtain certain items, kill certain creatures, things of that nature.

I would also like to make it a little bit more my own by incorporating Gods of different religions, a little bit like the books did. So, people won't be forced to choose just from Greek deities but also Roman, Egyptian, Norse, Persian, Japanese, etc. This is going to be the initial plot of the story. Camp Half-Blood is expanding considerably to include these demigods.

I would also like a Co-GM if anyone were interested. Someone who can help moderate different battles and push story lines.

Abilities: Flight, can be considered more like levitation as she doesn’t possess the ability to go more than 10 feet off the ground yet as her wings aren’t fully developed. Desire is Jenna’s secondary power though it really is pheromone manipulation to make people more, or less, attracted to her targets.

Personality: Jenna is fierce, sarcastic, and demanding. Aware of how people view ‘Cupid’ to be simply a chubby little boy Jenna works hard to make sure that everyone understands if needed she has teeth and will bite.

History: Raised alongside her younger half-sister Jenna never suspected anything was different about herself. For the longest time Jenna believed what she knows to be her step-father Harry, was her father. Cupid and Jenna’s mother had come to an arrangement. He would grant her the love she yearned for in exchange she would have and raise one of his children. Jenna’s mother Tina, agreed and Cupid’s arrow was so strong that Harry didn’t care that Tina was pregnant and he loved Jenna as his own.

When Jenna turned 14 and became a ‘woman’ things began to change for her rapidly. Upon her back the tattoo of wings appeared one day, and Jenna found that all people began to have their own scents that other people didn’t notice. When she asked her Mother about these things Tina wrang her hands together and didn’t have an answer for her daughter. Men began to stop her in the street and throw themselves at her and women began to all but attack her until that Christmas when a specific gift was under the tree, a beautiful gold and diamond heart necklace. Jenna found as long as she wore it people didn’t bother her.

On her 18th birthday Jenna lost control of her temper and people around her began removing their clothes and attacking each other. She wasn’t sure if they were trying to fight or fuck one another. Jenna was stabbed in the crowd of people by a shard of glass. It was then that Cupid appeared to his daughter all smiles, proud of what she had been able to accomplish without any proper training.
After her initial shock to learn her father wasn’t her father, that she was in fact half ‘God’ Jenna got many of her questions answered. How she got the necklace she did, why people attacked her, and about the tattoo that appeared on her back and grew on its own. Her father cleaned up her mess and sent her on her way to Camp Jupiter.

Jenna trained at Camp Jupiter for two and a half years before they offered her a position at Camp Half-Blood to help with the thin agreement between the Greek and Roman deities.

Tage Kaa'taar

Name: Armitage, Tage, Kaa’taar

Abilities: Super strength is Tage’s main ability he is much stronger than the average demi-god and actively trains to increase his strength. Absorption technically this is the ability to harden his skin into scales to absorb blows but Tage dislikes calling it ‘hardness’.

Personality: Tage is quiet by nature preferring to stick to himself and observe others. Tage appears to be pragmatic and highly logical.

History: Tage grew up knowing that he was a demi-god. His mother openly worshiped Sobek since before his birth. She went as far as to have a water birth just in case Tage came out with a snout. Tage’s mother told him each day to pray to his Father and forced him to learn about every Egyptian God and Goddess along with his Father’s history.

Tage didn’t begin to develop super strength until his eleventh birthday when he began going through puberty. He accidentally hurt one of his classmates and from that moment forward Tage was wary of his own powers. On his 15th birthday Sobek visited his son for the first time. He looked down upon Tage and pushed him to become even stronger. Sobek deemed him worthy of a ‘gift’ and pulled off one of his own scales putting it on his son’s back.

For the next two years Tage wore long sleeves and pants any time he was not in his own home as he had no ability to control the scales or the ‘gift’ that his father had given him. Tage didn’t discover the true meaning of this gift right away. It wasn’t until he had a barbell with too much weight on it collapsed and fall on his chest that he understood the gift.

Tage found his way to camp by accident. A sphynx had torn into his home in search of Tage trying to claim Sobek’s gift for himself. Tage left his home worried about his mother and stumbled upon Camp Half-Blood in the process. He has been there since only leaving to visit his Mother.

How much info do you need from Percy Jackson?  I’ve read the first five books and seen the movie and TV series but didn’t go any further than that, though I do know various pantheons (thank you, Scion) and a gender-bending child of Inari could be a lot of fun.

Well, you and I have the same amount of information on Percy Jackson haha. I would like the game to be less about the original characters and more about the ones we make. I don't feel you would need more information than the movies really. The general premise is there.

It won't be an exchange program instead the Camp will be adapted with magic to include other pantheon and religions for those wanting to attend in the United States.

Cool cool.  In that case, I imagine a Shinto shrine has been added in the same way the Greek kids would offer up some of their food.

My character will also be good with going with surname last and given name first to “go native” and make it easier for everyone :)

One of the bigger factors of the game will be that people are sent out on quests and adventures that are GM led.

Sounds good. I’m thinking a son of Izanagi that is seen as a delinquent most of his life by others. Like Yusuke Uremeshi. 

How would the camp come to expand since it was originally Greek? I’d assume those gods wouldn’t normally be up for that.

How will power levels and demigod abilities be regulated? That’s a big question I had.

I am going to allow characters to have 2 beginning abilities one main ability one minor. Power levels will depend on the chosen God/Goddess first year campers (18 year olds) will be on the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to overall power. It's something I'm going to be very careful about but also during adrenaline rushes and things of that nature of power levels are temporary higher that's understandable. 

If Zeus is a 10 and a human is a 1 most campers should be around a 3 or 4 max.

I have a few ideas for powers I can pitch you, and if it doesn't sound like the kind of character you want in the game, I can make something else ^_^

Inari is known for genderbending, and I imagine that as being a thing, both for my character and with mortals and willing half-bloods (who can deactivate it at will).  I figure my character likes to mix in-between states to some degree, but this isn't really all that useful of a power in the field beyond identity swaps and aiding transgender people.

As a fertility god/dess, I was also thinking about either having a perfect form of birth control, or, with willing participants, helping conceive a pregnancy.  Maybe not instantaneous healing but accelerating it for people around her?

With adrenaline, you make sake out of fermented rice, so perhaps getting people drunk the same way the children of Dionysus does.

I'm planning on nineteen years old and the name Aori Kisaragi regardless of male or female form.

And as stated, if this doesn't sound good, I can try to make another character.  I have a few ideas.

Thinking of going with a Russian party girl who is the daughter of Kostroma, a Slavic fertility goddess who became a rusalka. As such she has a seductive voice she used to fuel her hedonistic lifestyle until those meddling monsters ruined that gig.
