Updated!

Quote from: GnothiSeauton on June 21, 2024, 05:42:31 PMI’d like to put a claim on House Volmark for a wild card allegiance.

Sounds like Elmo

Quote from: xPeachyPuff on June 21, 2024, 06:43:24 PMI'm so tempted....But its been so long since I've read/watched anything ASOIAF...

As Andro said, I'm sure you recall most of the broad strokes! Beyond that its our own own setting. So there's wiggle room.

Quote from: Kadigan on June 21, 2024, 06:50:09 PMI find myself interested. Question, could the Master of Ships be the Mistress of Ships?

I'm not aware of a hard rule against women serving on the Small Council. Certainly Doran Martell didn't seem to see a problem with sending his daughter to serve on the Small Council in his place. Its more so tradition and the significantly smaller chance of a woman bringing sufficent resources to the table to make it work. So I imagine its possible, just unlikely. What are you thinking?

Kadigan

I had the broad strokes in mind , and guess I didn't know if we were holding to the gender roles in that world already laid down. If it's a lot of issue with it, it's not a big deal.

If I can't have you, my love...  I'll destroy you

Character: Jaehaerys Blackfyre
Title: King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms & Protector of the Realm (claimant)
House: Blackfyre
Faction: Rebels
Player: Primarch

Special skills
  • The Black Dragon - A significant element of pushing Jaehaerys’s claim is his skills as a warrior and leader of men, he has all the trappings of a warrior-king similar to Aegon the Conqueror. It is no surprise then that his martial prowess is nothing short of tremendous. Jaehaerys is tall, broad shouldered and possessing a powerful frame by any standard. Possessing prodigious natural talent that was cultivated by training at the Red Keep and countless tourneys over the years. Today Jaehaerys stands a Master in all matters of war and when wielding his namesake Blackfyre he has been said to fight like the Warrior himself. Even among his most ardent naysayers it is difficult to say he is not one of the finest knights Westeros has ever seen.
  • Charismatic Leader - People have always been drawn to Jaehaerys. He is gregarious & charming with an infectious confidence. From his young days as a squire he had naturally formed cotarie's and retinues of like minded individuals. They know him and they trust him, be it leading them to drink, to hunt or to fight. Be it his strength of character, his demonstrations of skill at arms or some combination of it all those that stand with Jaehaerys become a stronger unit. Though untested in actual battle it is quite clear he has the makings of a very dangerous military leader. To put it bluntly, knights wish to ride with him & women wish to...
  • Blood of the Dragon - The Blood of the Dragon is strong in Jaehaerys. Like many others of the Valyrian stock he appears more comfortable with heat (and takes a very hot bath), possesses tremendous beauty with golden-silver hair and purple eyes. He has also been known to have ‘Dragon Dreams’ though his visions are rare and often cryptic, being difficult to ascertain until after the event comes to pass.

Personality:
  • Valourous - Jaehaerys is a famed knight in the Seven Kingdoms and it is not just because of his skill-at-arms. Knightly virtues such as valour, chivalry and honour come as naturally to him as others might count sums or read letters. He is not fearless but he is in command of himself so as to act against fear. He treats others kindly and with respect. He is uncomfortable with an underhanded approach towards anything.
  • Gregarious - Jaehaerys is quick to smile and it is easy to make him laugh. Though not above taking his own company at times he is a man of mirth who prefers the company of others. Ever leading others in a hunt for a great white stag (though generally only catching a regular one). It is not difficult to twist his arm into merrymaking and before long he will be deep in the cups leading a singsong. Some might say the only thing more dangerous than a duel with Jaehaerys is trying to go drink for drink with him.
  • Stoic - Jaehaerys is notably difficult to frustrate or to evoke a negative reaction from. Perhaps related to his personal confidence but he does not seem to put much stock in the words of others when they try to goad him. Not only does he display an emotional resilience but also physical, being unlikely to complain about any form of discomfort and able to endure physical and emotional hardship.

History:
  • Born Jaehaerys Waters in 170 AC to Princess Daena Targaryen, though the father was then Prince Aegon this would not be revealed until the boy was twelve and won a squire’s tourney. By then his father had ascended to the throne and become King Aegon IV Targaryen. He was so impressed by the Jaehaerys’s display he confirmed himself as the father, knighted his son and bestowed upon him the sword Blackfyre. From then on Jaehaerys took the name ‘Blackfyre’ and adopted his own sigil, inverting the Targaryen colours to form a black dragon on a field of red.
  • Though he did not necessarily realise it at the time from that moment on Jaehaerys became the center of plots at court. It became increasingly clear Aegon favoured Jaehaerys for his heir over his trueborn son and started making veiled implications that the Prince had been fathered by another. If Aegon had a larger scheme however it would never reach fruition as died but not without legitimizing his bastards, including Jaehaerys. Those born to noblewomen came to be called ‘the Great Bastards.’
  • While Jaehaerys largely seemed to be content traveling the Seven Kingdoms as a knight-errant and attending tourneys, matters at court were changing. The Dornish influence grew larger, the King’s heir looked more Dornish than Valyrian, old allies of the Targaryens found themselves replaced at court. All the while Jaehaerys, who had been wielding the Sword of Kings and had the bearings of Aegon the Conqueror became an increasingly promising replacement.

Relationships/Connections:
TBD

Secrets/Gossip:
  • Jaehaerys has yet to take a wife. Some say there are negotiations already in place for him to marry the daughter of a powerful ally among the rebels. Others say he loves one of his sisters and holds out to claim her hand. Of course some claim he shall desire both.

I appreciate the encouragement c: I'm considering a Targaryen sister or daughter...🤔 If I can find a good face for her...

CK2's Game of Thrones mod is still superior in so many ways but CK3's version has so much more potential. I can't wait until it's developed more.

Tully, Arryn, Tyrell & Baratheon are all entirely unclaimed. The other Lords Paramount either have someone confirmed or provisional interest. Plus I believe the entirety of both 'Small Councils' are available.

I've dropped you an invite on Discord to the server.

#38
Character: Rhaella Targaryen
Title: Princess Consort of Dorne, Princess of Dorne
House: Targaryen/ Martell
Faction: Loyalists/ Blackfyre
Player: TheFluffyOne
Face Claim: Jodie Comer

Special skills
  • Royal stock -  From the moment that she was born, Rhaella was trained to be a royal wife. Her mother strived to keep her from being married to her brother like she had, therefore Rhaella was tutored in the histories of the great houses.
  • Huntress – As many ladies of the time, Rhaella was not formally allowed on any physical hunt. Yet she was given her first falcon at age 3. From then on, she has always had falcons and hawks as companions. Although only used for ‘entertainment’, Rhaella has used one or two for secretive messages before.
  • Blood of the Dragon – Second child of Queen Naerys and King Aegon IV, Rhaella is full blooded Targaryen. Thankfully, she is comfortable with heat, possess golden-silver hair and purple eyes. Rhaella sometimes hears a voice in her mind during her slumber, she believes the voice to be her dead brother, Rhaegar. Others interpret these as half-truths, although Rhaella trusts the voice more than she should.

Personality:
  • Kind soul – No matter the treatment that her mother faced, she was always kind. Rhaella strives to be like her mother. She attempts to treat everyone with respect from the lowest of servants to her brother the King. She is rarely seen without a smile and is known to tend to servants’ children. There has been many a time when she was caught with a servant babe on her knee as she finished her lessons.
  • Calculating mind – Rhaella was raised in a royal household. While not privy to actual small council gatherings, she would often sneak peaks (aka devour entirely) the recorded meeting notes. Using her wits and historical knowledge, she often weighs up scenarios before acting.
  • Viper tongue – With no real strength on her side, Rhaella when provoked knows how to ‘dress someone down’ with a few cutting words. She always seems to know the right thing to say and can slither between varying conversations with great ease.

History:
  • Rhaella was born in 172AC to King Aegon IV and Queen Naerys. Her twin brother Rhaegar was born sleeping and her mother struggled greatly after. Her childhood was full to the brim with warm love from her mother, uncle and older brother coupled with cold indifference from her father. It was said that with every passing day, she grew to look more and more like her mother. Her uncle, Prince Aemon Targaryen the Dragonknight, was particularly protective of his only niece and she fondly remembers following him on his early morning patrols.
  • On her 6th year, her uncle died protecting her father. Her mother passed soon after, another difficult birth sapping all life from her. With her elder brother married and fending off new founded accusations about his heritage, Rhaella was left alone. Well, not truly alone. Her mother had attempted to keep her away from her half-brother Jaehaerys but she had frequently sought him out when she wanted a play mate.  With her old protectors gone, Rhaella was often ‘tormented’ by her father. His dislike for her grew more as she developed and looked more like her mother but with the charm and kindness of her uncle.
  • Rhaella often relied on Jaehaerys to protect her from their father’s ire. He did not tease her when she confided in him about the voice in her dreams and they grew to love each other fiercely. Rumours spiralled from the court as they always do. Some said that their love was more than siblings. Some said that she gave her maidenhead to him at age 18. Others said that no greater pairing had graced the High Court.
  • King Aegon IV claimed Rhaella as his true daughter till the day he died. What passed his dying lips created chaos in court. Rhaella could only watch as half-siblings appeared from every far corner that her father had travelled. There had been whispers around court that she would be paired with her half-brother to stop Jaehaerys’s claim for the throne. That was quickly torn apart by her betrothal at age 18 to Prince Ronas Nymeros Martell of Dorne. Her wedding was a slight one, first setting her eyes on her husband at age 20. Rhaella was quickly taken to her new home. Dorne. There she resides, gaining information from her husband and servants as to what is happening outside the walls and across the water.

Relationships/Connections:
  • Prince Ronas Nymeros Martell – Her husband of four years. While cautious at first, she has grown to love her husband. He is kind and everything that she wished for in a husband. On her arrival to Dorne, he gifted her a white-winged dove and northern cardinal. They have one son, Prince Rohar Nymeros Martell, heir to Dorne. Their son has beautiful olive skin and startling purple eyes. Since the birth of Prince Rohar, Rhaella has had two miscarriages like her mother.
  • Jaehaerys Blackfyre – Her elder brother by two years. Her main protector when at court in her younger years. She loves him fiercely but is conflicted with his determination to obtain the throne.

Secrets/Gossip:
  • Rhaella sends letters to both brothers that she was closest to. Though her husband only knows of the letters that she sends to her Kingly brother.
  • Rhaella is uncertain is her elder brother is a true son of King Aegon IV and Queen Naerys. She is certain of one thing; she wishes that her uncle was truly her father and not the late King. She could have been a child born of love rather than duty.

Is AI accepted here for FCs?

Sorry, totally missed this question here.
So my preference is to have a live action FC for each character to keep a consistent visual aesthetic across the board, but a couple of people have asked about AI so I'm going to ask everyone to find a live action FC for the main profile pic but beyond that you're free to supplement character imagery with AI.

imalux

This sounds like it might be in my wheelhouse; I love ASOIAF and large, world building stories. Shiera Seastar is also a favorite of mine.
not accepting new stories.

LanaN

Assuming no one has yet, I'll put a FC claim on Adelaide Kane

And I have eyes on Lord Stark's wife, daughter of the Lord of House Florent. That's a smaller house connected to House Tyrell.

If still open I'd like to stake a claim to Alexander Skarsgard for the head of House Greyjoy.

You just need to find an actor who keeps getting rained on in movies, really. That's the secret to a Greyjoy.

If he gets into a fight, certainly. Not at polite dinners, though.

Naturally, a Lord must look his best at polite dinners. Is he fighting for the black dragon or the red? Or holding out a bit to see who's getting the upper hand? 🤣

Seeing who's willing to negotiate with a right bastard who's very proud of his pile of rocks in the sea, I think.
