Ah, I see that now.  I don't suppose The Gift itself would count?  I guess I'll get rid of Aptitude.  If I got Natural Knowledge of a Path, so I automatically knew up to level 40, could I spend all my magic level points on it?  Or is the Maximum Magic determined by Intelligence an actual maximum, and not determining how many spells I know?

So would buying the Mystical Modules mean I don't need to buy any Magic Projection, because it uses my Attack instead?

You have a great character so far If you wanted to fight with an Axe and shield I would take the Diffrent type/Unarmed module. Shields count as weapond and so he could use the axe and the shield at no penalty and its 20 DP

Hi Creeper, thanks for your interest.  A few things pertaining to your concept that you might or might not feel make it inappropriate for the game. 

Here goes. 

A.  The heroes in this story receive their mission from the crown of Lucrezio.  Though Lucenor is recruiting mostly 'new blood' for the mission, if your evil overlord status/aspirations were known, he'd either not bother with you or would play a game of control.  AKA, 'this man has potental, if I leave him alone, he will become a threat to my people.  If I bring him close, I will either earn his loyalty, learn the keys to controlling him, or learn that he is irredeemable, uncontrolable and can be used to exactly that point coming up in three weeks before he has to be eliminated. 

Simply put, the story is for heroes and scoundrels.  If you intended that concept to be presented as a scoundrel, bring it on over.  ^_^  If meant as a villain, this game really does call for a different concept. 

pertaining to Summoners, I love the class, though we do already have one summoner and possibly a warrior summoner to boot.  I have no issue whatsoever with duplicate classes if you don't.  Alternativly a charecter with Magic and the path of Creation might be even closer to what you were describing.

I think he'd fit into the scoundrel category or be viable for games of control. I see him as a crackpot on the fringes of the scientific community. Scientific journels only publish his papers because they're amusing and on occasion they have the glimmer of brilliance. The 'army of monsters' idea was just one of a succession of plans (including 'use monsters as factory labor' and 'use monsters to create giant circus company to amuse children all over the world with their delighful antics'). The theory was sound, it's just unlikely he'd ever commit to anything. He's angry because, crackpot idea or not, it was HIS idea and he's not getting credit for it.

The crown could pick him for the reasons you described, or because they need a scientist who doesn't mind being thrown into certain death, or because he might possibly be right and the other country DID steal his ideas.

I don't like stepping on other character's toes. A creation path wizard would work for the system, so long as I can do the monster creation thing.

I'd like to build a more academically-inclined wizard, with a liking for manipulation and control over overt power.  For that reason, I'd prefer to go with a school or schools of magic that let him *do things* to people, rather than just kill them with blasts of arcane power.  Charms, curses, transformations, etc.  As for skills, mentally strong, with maybe a sideline in human perception and whatever I've got points for.  Being able to read a person's nature or personality, or figure out what makes them tick just from observing them...it's kind of invasive and controlling in its own way.  Fits in with the theme I'm going for.  Not sure if the game allows for that.

So, what do I do?

Major charecters (With 15+Gnossis) roll 2d10 for APP and take the better of 2 results.  (That includes you, Chloe.) 

Nephlim get an extra 1d10.  2d10 if they have the Physical Perfection quality. 

So a Sylvain or Dukzarist Major Character rolls 4d10 and takes the best result.

B.  Though most of the Gaia considers magic either a gift of God or demonic influence based more or less upon wether or not the one casting the spell is a priest, the people of Lucrezio don't differentiate between magic and other sciences. 
C.  Creation magic has a good number of spells for enhancing and altering.
