Blackrose Correctional Institute
« on: January 09, 2006, 02:53:26 AM »
This is America and it's 2010. It is five years after the Blackrose Correctional Institute, a women's prison starving for extra backing from the government's coffers, open the country's first co-ed prison block.

The result was the Cellblock C (dubbed this because of its Co-Ed status). The Block was host to a series of mid-level offenders - no murderers or repeat offenders - who lived together in the same complex. Cells were assigned by gender, but swapping proved commonplace. As long as everyone's present in the morning, the hacks could have cared less. A lot has gone on in the five years since Cellblock C opened. They have weathered a riot, allegations of prostitution within the walls, and a prison porn scandal, and despite objections, the entire prison has now gone co-ed. Not only that, it is now host to the country's first co-ed maximum security wing, and most recently a co-ed Death Row.

Warden Harris, the overseer for the project and its original create, has profitted from the project so much that he has curried his newfound political favor and become Governer. From that office he still oversees the project, not wanting his crown acheivement to be tarnished, lest he be cast in ill light.

                                                      -----

Alright folks, I'm making a bid to start this game up again, an updated version of the original from RPOL. There will be new NPC faces, and some good old classics. A few people to be watching out for are:

Governer Harris - The good Warden now sits in the vaunted halls of California political power. Even his divorce, and his implication in two major sex scandals didn't stop his popularity as a crimefighter.

Harmond Tennison - The original head hack at Cellblock C is now the prison's no nonsense Warden. While he spends most of his time with administrative work, he still takes time out to get hands on with the prisoners when they get out of line.
                                                               -------

So, now you're asking... what are you looking for?

I'm looking for: Hacks, Inmates (of all varieties), A Doctor, Administrators, Techies, Political friends of the Governor, Inmate Lawyers, and possibly Media, a Preacher, and anything else you think would fit.

Drop word in here, and as soon as I get, say, half a dozen people interested, we'll see about getting the game going.

Also, anyone who was a member of the game back on RPOL who wants to play an updated version of your original character, just send me a PM, and we'll talk through what's been going on with them in the past five years.

Ok I think we need an overweight black female head prison guard to keep the little sluts in line. Plus can arrange nice work details for ones that are REALLY NICE to her. So I'll be the Chief Prison Guard.  ;D

The Cheif Guard gig is up for PC play... while it's got potential for corruption, that's part of the fun... after all, the Warden is watching, but he can't see everything... plus he's got his own indescretions to cover as well...

The response definitly looks good, I'll be cooking up the expanded location list tonight. And Akioth, I'll look at the old roster, see what the name was, and try and figure out some ideas for working him into the new game if you want.

Elvi: Sorry to hear that, but if you're schedule clears up you're always welcome to join... it's a prison after all, the population is fluid...

Akioth: If you don't mind, and still know, can you PM me your username for RPOL. I have a David from the game, but I want to confirm.

On the subject of characters, please feel free to come up with more than one character idea. Multiple characters will be allowed, provided you intend to dedicate equal time to all of them as needed. Below I'm going to put up a basic sheet, so you know what to think about for characters. There will be variances in the sheet for Civillians, Guards, and Inmates, but for space purposes I'll put up only one sheet and mark the specific sections appropriately.

Name:
Nickname:
Role: (Guard, Inmate, Civillian Worker, Other)
Age:
Height:
Weight:
Hair Color/Style:
Eye Color/Eyewear:
Physical Description:
[Guard/Civillian Worker] Years At Blackrose:
[Guard/Civillian Worker] Title:
[Inmate] Sentance: (ex. 3-5 years for Armed Robbery)
[Inmate] Time Served:
[Other] Reason to be At Prison: (ex. Political Friend of the Governer, Defense Lawyer)
History:
Story Ideas: (Include at least one idea for a storyline involving your character)
Secrets: (This section will not be publicly posted)

Sexual Preference:
Sexual Limits:

Some example NPCs will be posted, as soon as I'm done writing them up. And yes, one or two will be old faces.

Thankfully I tend to cling onto old games that I enjoyed, or created. I didn't actually delete the game, made the mistake of giving someone else power, and they deleted it, but I have it on my list still. We had two lawyers, one who was caseworking for Tommy Ford, the resident gang leader, after he got thrown into Solitary for getting ahold of a contraband firearm. The other was a former mistress of the then Warden, now Governer.

I'm just reading things through, seems like your lawyer was trying to figure out what exactly was going on with the prison, trying to root out corruption... with the persuasion she used on Tommy, she had herself one willing informant.  ;)

If you want, I can PM you her sheet, and we can talk about how the five years since have treated her, come up with a way to bring her along for the new ride, along with any inmate you might want to make.

Sample NPCs, for the format, and to give people some ideas possibly:

Name: Joe Rawley
Nickname: None, but he usually goes only by his last name
Role: Guard
Age: 27
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 215lbs
Hair Color/Style: Blonde, Crew Cut
Eye Color/Eyewear: Blue/None
Physical Description: Joe is a physically imposing man, solidly built, but not to the point of freakishness. He isn't the biggest dog in the yard, but he carries himself in a manner that demands respect. His features could be described as All American, save for the slightly roughed up look of them. Still, when he wants to be, he can seem downright boyish.
Years At Blackrose: 5
Title: Head of Administration
History: Joe grew up in rural America, on a farm that had been managed so poorly by his grandparents that it was good for nothing much more than growing dirt. Hard times for the family, combined with an abusive father, drove him to be an angry young man. Despite being one of the smallest boys in the area, he was a scrapper, and he would have eventually landed in jail if a Marine recruiter hadn't come to his High School and spun him stories of glory and honor.

As it goes, those stories were bullshit. He recruited, and passed through boot camp, but after three years in his life in the Corps was going a whole hell of a lot of nowhere. Dissatistfied, and smart enough to realize being bitter wouldn't do a hell of a lot for him, he quit. The Corps had done two things for him, it had busted his ass into shape, and it had taught him how to hold his own. So he took those assets and he signed on as a prison guard.

He was transferred to Blackrose in his first year in the business, and placed in Administration. Proving to have a canny resolve, and sharing a military background with the Chief Guard of the time, Harmind Tennison, Joe was to be Tennison's replacement when he became Warden. But Joe inherited one thing from his father: a hell of a short fuse. Allegations of abusive activities towards female in-processing inmates led to media scrutiny, and his deportment towards the press caused Tennisson to have to name an alternate as his replacement, or suffer media fallout. While he was placed in charge of Administration as a consolation, Joe is still quite angry at his former friend for putting politics over comradarie.

Sexual Preference: Hetero
Sexual Limits: No Scat, Watersports, or anything involving gore

Name: Tyler Polk
Nickname: Trouble
Role: Inmate
Age: 24
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 275lbs
Hair Color/Style: Black/Long, with a bedraggled beard
Eye Color/Eyewear: One green, one blue
Physical Description: A monsterously large man with ripcord muscles and broad shoulders. Polk tends to slouch, as if he is ashamed of how large he is. His hair never quite seems washed, and he always has the smell of stale sweat on him.
Sentance: Death by Lethal Injection for Murder
Time Served: 4 total, in two visits
History: In 2005 Tyler Polk arrived in Blackrose to serve a ten year sentance for sexual assault. His trial had been a sensational one, with allegations that he was a repeat offender, but with no solid evidence linking him to the no less than twenty rapes he was suspected of committing. Old habits proved hard to control, and after raping one inmate and attempting to rape a female guard, Tyler was placed in Solitary confinement, where he remained for the better part of two years. It was at this time that his lawyers managed to uncover evidence of planted evidence on the part of investigators, and called for a revokation of the sentance against their client.

If only they knew the monster they were about to free. The two years in solitary confinement had caused Polk to re-write reality as he saw it, and in an attempt to make ammends for his crime he sought out and kidnapped the last woman he had raped before going to prison. For a month he held her, repeatedly raped her, and finally killed her. There was no investigation this time. He walked right into the nearest police precinct, stark naked, with the strangled woman in his arms.

Sentanced to Death Row at Blackrose, Tyler was once again confined to life alone, as he was the first inmate slated to be executed at the prison.

There are whispers amongst the general population. Women are told to stay in line, for if they don't, and they land in solitary, their cell might just get a visit from the man they call Trouble. Polk was once a favorite method of punishment by Warden Harris. Who knows if Tennison is depraved enough to unleash him.

Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
Sexual Limits: No Scat, Watersports, or gore.

Alrighty folks, last update here, save for a quick edit to come tonight. The board is up, just needs a little set-up work, which I'll be doing this evening.
