You wouldn’t even necessarily need knowledge of pro wrestling moves as you can make her moveset based off of her MMA style. I’d recommend researching into stuff like Judo, Muay Thai, and BJJ as far as moves are concerned.

I won't know til I investigate further. Most decent MMA stars with good ground and pound game could conceivably make the move .

Good ground and pound, good submission game. Ronda Rousey’s big move was an armbar submission, after all.

Yeah I loved me some Rousey.

I think Ken Shamrock's was an ankle hold. He sold that thing like a lunatic - you could actually believe he was going to rip someone's foot off doing that.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

Alright, so I get the idea of having stories, and the wrestling kind of being the theme but in ring aspects not being the focus in particular. I for one, though, would make it a goal of any character I used to want to be champion. That's usually the goal of anyone in the business, to carry the strap. I'm totally happy with everything being decided beforehand, after all that's really what happens. I'm basically just asking if working towards, winning, holding the belt is something that's possible in the game. Of course, from the aspect of working to do so behind the scenes. It seems like a pretty big plot point. Also, I imagine there will be belts for each promotion? I'm curious if there will be women's titles separate from the men's, so forth.

I don't know that I'd agree that the belt is the goal for everyone. I mean some folks are just jobbers of course, but we can discount them as main characters. Even beyond jobbers though, for some people the rivalry, or some personal goal is what drives it, beating X is their life goal, or making sure Y pays for what they did, etc...

Personally, I look more towards Lucha Underground (except for that last season YIKES) for my inspiration more than WWE or AEW.

Kara Danvers

I get what you mean Maiden, but I don't think many jobbers are content to remain jobbers. Sure, some people end up being resigned to that role and maybe realize at some point in their career that that is as far as they are going to get, but I would think that the goal for almost everyone is to be the best they can at their chosen career and for those people the goal would be to be the champion. Of course, some wrestlers can be bigger than the belt, like Andre, the Rock or Hogan, but I doubt that would be the case in a smaller promotion.

That being said, I know this is a writing game and people will have different motivations than most would IRL. I'm just basically feeling out what role the belts would have in general.

I'm not trying to backseat GM and I don't want to speak for Trey, but I'd imagine that the SSA, being the more 'traditional' and 'old school' would have separate belts for men and women - probably a big belt belt for male, a midcard belt for males, tag belts for males, a big belt for females, and tag belts for females. In the RFW, since they're the ones who push for innovation and pushing the envelope, could conceivably have consolidated belts - although they might keep separate gendered belts to allow for multiple angles to have the rub of 'importance' that comes with a title challenge, or at least allow for anyone to challenge for certain titles.

It seems fair enough to bring a character who wants to be whichever promotion's top star.

That was kind of what I was thinking Cold, more or less. I just didn't know how many belts, so on.

Winning a or the belt can definately be a motivation for your character. As for working towards it unless everyone wants to be champions, I suppose we could take one of two approaches.

Either we discuss it as a group and decide OOC who can be champion and then we can figure the storyline that gets it to go there.

Or

I could figure out some sort of system. Dice would be simplest as I'm not that familiar with different systems for that sort of thing.

As for titles, SSA would have a seperate womens division like Cold Heritage theorized, and would keep men and women seperate most of the time as far as competing in the ring.

RFW does have a womens title, but women can compete for mens titles as well.

I'll be arranging titles soon, but RFW is taking a bit longer cause I want their belts to push the boundaries a bit

I think a poll or something like that would be good for deciding champions.
