I am looking for writers for a unique experience. If you happen to know about my Fate (CYOA) story I did with Paradox, this is along the line of how that was written, but without the choices and votes. This is not a CYOA story.

There has been a string of strange deaths in Mannington, and Detective Stevens volunteered to go over the file cases to see if there was a connection. This story examines those deaths.

An old coin that holds a wicked curse has found its way into the hands of Walter "Wally" Thorndyke. Once in his possession, strange hallucinations begin occurring and within a short amount of time, he would be dead. Some called it suicide, some say it was a freak accident, but only Wally knew what really happened. Or did he? Prior to his death, he took the coin to be appraised. The coin is currently in the hands of Samantha Bluefield and now a new chapter begins.

The premise of each chapter is a look into the hallucinations that occur for each new owner of the coin, while also narrating what is seen by those on the outside looking in. For each hallucination, the character would experience real world reactions. For each death, the hallucination will drive the real-world demise of the character. An example would be a hallucination of something terrifying that causes a heart attack, or even more fun, a hallucination of black tendrils pulling a housewife’s arm into the kitchen sink drain causing her to place her hand into the garbage disposal… and bleed to death. The hallucinations are meant to be all-consuming. They are also themed. Wally was met with a creature that can take the shape of a woman, tiny spiders, and a large being with eight arms with spiders at the end of each arm.

Although I’d prefer writing the hallucinations, I’d be willing to allow someone else to take up the task. If you are interested in joining me, there would need to be heavy collaboration to ensure you understood how the story/stories will be written, regardless of if you are the writer or the “hallucinations”. I am looking to make this a long-term, often revisited, story made up of many chapters, and welcome many partners, but obviously only one at a time.

Main Writer: You will write the story within the parameters of the hallucinations. You’ll need to react to what your character experiences as well as move the story on through his/her day(s). You also need to be comfortable with supernatural themes and writing a death/suicide.

Hallucination Writer: You would need to be very creative and first find a “monster”/ “being”. Old folklore is a good place to start. You also need to be prepared to come up with a hallucination that fits into the daily scene written by the main writer (me). Lastly, you’ll need to come up with a demise that can be translated to a real-world death/suicide.

Anyone interested will also need to have discord. The story is written here on Elliquiy proper, but discussions will need to be through discord to make it easier to communicate and understand.


The story is Mental Maledictions. Dragoon and I are not finished but will be soon. The next chapter will be focused on the woman who now has the coin.
