Asexuals and Roleplay

I wondered if there are other people on the asexual spectrum who have had difficulties when it comes to roleplaying. I had a situation recently where someone was constantly making sexist and rude comments about how he basically felt he was the one person who could break past my asexuality. He just did not seem to understand why that was rude, and I tried multiple times to tell him. Its kind of like a man thinking he is the one man who can turn on a lesbian. It's just stupid to me and disrespectful.

Well, that's rude regardless of anyone's sexuality.  As you say, it's like the man who thinks he can 'change' a lesbian - or any other combination of 'I'm just not into you.'  As for ace folks in particular, a lot of people write about things that they don't want to actually do.

If your partner has said that they're only interested in writing with you, and that your flirting/sexism/innuendo OOC is not welcome, continuing to do so is harassment.

Thanks Oniya. This was not on this site, it was on another site. But FYI, it was dealt with on that site and he is in the iggie box as well. I got a lot of support from people who reminded me that I'm not obligated to play anything I do not want to and that I do not have to put up with others talking to me like that in the future.

LOL - I know you well enough to know that you would have hit one of us up if it had been here.  I sometimes take the opportunity to assure the random readers that they don't need to put up with anyone's crap of this nature, whether it's here or anywhere else.  It's just that here, I can strap on the ass-kicking boots when need be.

As for ace folks in particular, a lot of people write about things that they don't want to actually do.

I don't identify as ace, but this pretty much fits me perfectly.  I often write about things I'd never want to actually do.

I feel like an idiot now.  I found out that aegosexual exists this past year and that I identify more with that, and only now did I realize that it falls under the ace umbrella.  You never stop learning things about yourself.
