Since I saw you're giving folks a few days to pitch characters, I thought I'd plant my flag (avoids my own foot this time), and toss out a concept that seems fun!

Adventurer Info

Name: Liora (F/K/A The Reaper of Souls)
Playbook The Infamous
Sword: Liora still uses the same sword from her Bad Old Days; a huge broadsword whose deign suggests that souls are trapped in the wide, dark-steel blade.
Interested In: I'm honestly up for anything!  F/F, Futas, all sorts of monsters...I tend to prefer dub-con or con, but I'm not against some non-con as long as it's not excessive.  Sometimes a little struggle against liking the things you shouldn't can be fun!
Brief Description: Tall, raven-haired, with glowing red eyes, Liora has the curves of the bar-wench of your dreams, and the cold stare of your worst nightmare.  She tends to dress in functional, steel-pated armor, though she can't resist just a little vanity in showing that she's still got something to flaunt.

Before she turned over a new leaf, she was a terror across kingdoms.  A completely ruthless, merciless sword-for-hire who didn't shirk away from the absolute worst deeds if the money was right.  Until the day her conscience finally caught up to her, and sent her spiraling towards redemption.
Familiarity With Thirsty Sword Lesbians/PbtA: I'm pretty much a n00b, though I've had a readthrough or 3 of PbtA rules before, and have the rules for TSL as well.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Usually a few times a day on weekdays, but I'm pretty much a ghost on weekends.

I'm not fully sure, Crash! When it's Go Time, I'll be looking at frequency to try to line up a group, but the goal will be just to get a group that lines up nicely with each other! :)

Name: Andrea Veskin
Playbook: The Devoted
Sword: A well-worn, but well-cared for, steel hand-and-a-half (bastard) sword.Golden gilt on the quillons and pommel. Not overly fancy, just practical and effective; like her.
Interested In: Loving relationship with plenty of cuddles and PDA. Defending my friends and loved ones, helping out others, finding that One True Love
Brief Description: Some might refer to Andrea as ‘a healthy gal’; she’s about 6’4” and built solidly with a rather well-defined, muscular frame. When she takes the time and effort to ’clean up’, she can be absolutely beautiful, but she doesn’t always think of herself as attractive. Her long, dirty blonde hair goes to below her shoulders and is usually tied up into a ponytail in casual situations or secured in a braid when there’s combat anticipated. She tends to be very open and friendly, sometimes too friendly, instantly becoming friends with people upon meeting them, even if the other person doesn’t feel the same. If you’re thinking of Scorpia from Princesses of Power, you’re not wrong. She’s loyal, strong, and gives great hugs.

If I don’t make the cut, I’m kinda hoping you don’t make the cut either.  Because I can totally see Melody having a complete meltdown that would be quite entertaining. “What do you mean you’re an elf girl with a bow? I’m an elf girl with a bow. That’s… my thing. I do that. You’re going to need to… HOLY FUCK THERE’S TWO OF YOU!?”

ETA: And then I have this itching feeling in my brain like I missed something. And sure enough, you’re not the one playing the Ensemble. Ah well, I guess Melody had been drinking really heavily?

I'm confused, Blue.  Does it bother you?  Was that something about the ensemble?  I don't wnat to step on someone's theme?  I just liked the picture.  When I looked at the playbooks I thought of the overlap in skills between a detect and a hunter?

As a player, I absolutely love what you put forward, and I’m really sorry that I wasn’t more clear about that. I think she’s awesome.

Part of why I think she’s awesome is because she would instantly activate my intended character’s insecurities. The thing with a Dream Mirror templated character is that their sense of identity is really fragile. And so my character would have a huge meltdown.

My comment about “If I miss out, I hope you also miss out too” was intended to imply “Because that way I would maybe get to write against your character.”  I realise that’s not clear at all if you don’t have your telepathy active. And my telepathy has been on the fritz lately, so yours might not be working either

Thank you SO MUCH for raising this. I’m really sorry that I gave you the impression that I (as a writer) was in any way unhappy with the character you put forward. I was in love with the dramatic possibilities, and a bit over-emotional, infatuated, and clumsy.

(I’ve also been wanting to reply to a lot of the other sheets going up with “OMG Awesome,” but I’ve been nervous about being kind of loud and inappropriate OOC. My character is intended to be loud and inappropriate IC, because that’s funny and it makes story happen. But OOC is different.)

I think I was so excited about the possibility of playing an incredibly awkward character who constantly says the wrong things that it bled through into the OOC. (So desperate to play it cool that I came across frosty.)

Hey everyone! I'm sorry to do this, but I'm having some RL things coming up that are going to throw off my plans for starting this game right now. It looks like my time is going to be a little bit tied up for the next couple of weeks.

I'm very sorry to do this, but I'm afraid I'm gonna need to put Rogues of Nightkeep on indefinite hiatus. If I'm able to get RL things back under control within the next couple of weeks and am ready to dive in, I'll send you all messages!

I know my insecurities were leading me to think I should have a contingency plan if I missed out. It didn’t occur to me that we might ALL miss out!

I’m not entirely sure that I want to walk away from the coolness that was brought out in this thread. I guess the question is whether others feel the same, and whether picking things up is a breach of ethics or etiquette.

I think that if I do offer to run, I’ll put up a new thread. I’ll mention it here, but I should have a concept for the game I’ll run, if I offer to run. I guess I can still have a character in the party if running. Maybe. Hmmm.

After thinking about it a bit, I realize I'm not in the right headspace / availability space to run a game either.  I have standards I apply to myself when I run a game, and I don't think I'd be able to meet them without failing at some of my other obligations.
