Thirsty Sword Lesbians: Rogues of Nightkeep (PbtA System Recruiting!)

[Floatright][/float] They say that somewhere in the world, there are lands blessed with sunlight and glory, where flowers grow in all manner of colors and people live as they wish. Lands where knights are brave and kings are wise, that there are joys that can be claimed, that work produces plenty. But this is not so in Nightkeep. Ruled over by the Immortal Theocrats, god-like figures of incredible power, the Nightkeep is at the very center of the Darkness's stranglehold.

But there are some brave enough to spit in the eye of the night. These are the Rogues of Nightkeep.

For this game, I'm looking for a team of plucky fantasy heroines to take on dark powers, work their way up through a twisted nobility, and fight for justice and love. The setting will have the trappings of a high fantasy dark city controlled by capital-E-Evil rulers, but the goal is to keep the actual play fun and campy. I'm looking to have lots of high flying adventures, wild encounters, fighting back against malicious powers, and (of course) lots of sex with antagonists, supporters, each other, and (it wouldn't be me without...) monsters.

TSL is a game that tends to be a little less combat-centric than Dungeon World, but there'll be plenty of chance to lock blades. In terms of departure from the base game, this one on Elliquiy will involve quite a bit more fucking, likely including monsters with NC. Although the game is called Thirsty Sword Lesbians, there will also be plenty of opportunities for dickings!

To be clear because I got a couple DMs! The game is called Thirsty Sword Lesbians, but there will be plenty of opportunity for non-lesbian fucking as well!

I've put below a little bit of code (also posted in the thread itself) for people to fill in regarding what kind of character they would like to play.  I would love to be able to have everyone play but in the interest of not over-reaching beyond what my time can do, I'll be aiming for 4 players MAYBE flexing into 5.  As such, I'll be looking at characters, sexual prefs, etc, and trying to put together the game that will treat all of us best!  You are welcome to put as much into this (and provide additional information) if you wish, but I'm mostly looking for interesting characters.

What I'm looking for in terms of finding characters (because people always ask!) is:
-Dynamic, interesting characters with description physically and/or personality that catches my eye!
-Female heroes who are willing to take on forces greater than them!
-Goodness-of-Fit with kinks/character roles/combat roles!

In terms of my own kinks and prefs, I will be looking for adult characters and skipping 'small' creatures (like gnomes/halflings/goblins).

The system books are WAY less horny than they sound, but there's definitely cleavage and ladies kissing throughout! But I time the less crunchy setup will work really nicely!

Count me interested. You definitely caught my interest when you mentioned sex with the monsters. What type of creatures do you typically use for such things?

I haven’t played this particular game before, but I can always grab the PDF and look through it easy enough

Probably a little all over the place! In terms of monsters, I'm picturing a game where Villainous Types could have monsters that they unleash on you, or villains who are monstrous types themselves, so some flexibility! I always try to cater to my tables wants and we have collaborative play, so it depends slightly on that as well.

Like if I've got five people who thirst for tentacles, then we'll have tentacles coming out of every dark alley!

Also, no pressure to read up on the pdf! The playbooks and the Basic Moves really provide what the PCs would need!

Yes! Monster of the Week and TSL both use the Powered by the Apocalypse engine, so you'll be triggering moves with specific effects that come from them. It uses the same 2d6+stat and the same 6-/7-9/10+ range bands!

Strings are a mechanic that represent having some level of connection, control, or power over another character. This isn't necessarily because of a negative emotional state, two people who are totally into each other may have Strings on each other. You can use Strings for a number of things, including offering people XP to do things, lowering/raising their rolls, or raising your rolls towards them. It's you having a little string on their emotions that you can give a little tug to!

TSL is less grounded in a single genre than some other PbtA games. The rules support High Romance Action-Adventure with assumptions that the PCs are trying to make the world better for the people they care about.
For this SPECIFIC game, I want to play with fantasy heroes that are rebels against the ruling class of an Evil City. We can fiddle a bit to figure out what exactly that means, but I'm picturing a way more hopeful and less gritty Lies of Locke Lamora if that makes sense. Like we have a team of cool rogues doing cool stuff in a dark city, but instead of the tone being dark and sad, the tone is the kind of inspiring plucky heroes taking on things bigger than them for the good of all!

Another question.  How often are you looking for posts?

That probably depends upon the group as a whole! I'd love to be able to have posts every 2 days or so, but if that's too fast or two slow of a speed, I can also adjust that expectation. You can do a decent amount in a single TSL post/roll, so I think if we've got a relatively quick flow we can get some big adventuring done!

I use the floatright command.  It works like the floatleft command, but sends things to the right. You can see the command in the Code that Nastara provided in her first post.

Interested In: Sex with monsters...demons, undead, insect monsters, tentacles.  I love mind control, impregnation and oviposation as well.  Action with other female characters and more typical monsters such as orcs works also.  Just no furry monsters and no anal.
Brief Description: Lady Colleen is a short, curvy and well endowed blonde.  She is energetic, cheerful and loves meeting new people.  She almost always has a smile on her face.

Interested In: Getting into awkward/embarrassing situations. Having wardrobe malfunctions. Being trapped. Discovering that I like things and surrendering to them. Discovering that I don’t like things and fighting free of them.
Brief Description: She's basically your elf next door, which might well explain her personality.... Deeply insecure about relationships, and therefore tries to work out what people want, and be the person they want her to be. This tends to get her overextended, and caught out. Fortunately, she’s an absolute mistress of being adorable when this inevitably happens.
Familiarity With Thirsty Sword Lesbians/PbtA: confident with PbTA. Will be buying and reading TSL.
How Often Do You Elliquiy?: Aiming to post once every day, with occasional day missed. Not normally active on weekends (which means Sunday and Monday, since I’m Australian). Occasionally suffer weird blocks that can take a while to overcome.
