Yes, the fan can be a symbol. You can keep the title in the backstory too.

We don’t want players to have more than one title so there is still a good selection of them available for those who are making a char. That being said, ‘loved child has many names’. One and the same deity can have many names among the mortals, but only one title in char sheet. Like my vulpi was originally goddess of spirits and ghost fox in addition to goddess of ghosts, but after some thought we came to that conclusion it’s for the best to stick to one title. Those who knew there is such deity might give her different titles so she might be to some people goddess of spirits or ghost fox.

Okay, should be edited!  I do like Redemption as the title more since while sin-eating is still the method, redemption is the desired outcome.

Gardsorm

Hahah, that would be pretty amusing in a way. =p

Actually, now that makes me wonder/realize if Amur is under the Lust God.

Was able to fix previous concerns about my character with Gard yesterday.

Also seeing Konoha, it feels like she and Scientia are under the same prime god domain? Would that make them sisters? :3c

Could be!  She'd be the younger sister by a wide margin, I think.

Amarlo

I've decided to keep an eye on this. O: It looks really interesting and I'd love to see what characters come together.

Seduce my mind and my body will follow.

As a big sister Scientia might feel responsible to watch out for her at times they are together

That brings up the question of just how many Mortal Gods there are and how they are encouraged by each of their creators to socialize, if they are at all. Especially those of us who had multiple Primes involved in our creation.

MMM, I find myself rabidly curious about the world building. So, you know, bussing and excited to start things.

Were there other War/Lust folks around then?

There is no encouragement from Prime Gods regarding socializing. The Lessers either do it, and do it how they'd like... Or they simply don't at all. As long as they do their jobs, how they spend the rest of their time is irrelevant to the Primes.

Total population of the Sapphire City is somewhere around hundreds of thousands, so the amount of lesser gods stuck in Azure is counted in thousands.

Tomorrow I try to finally get my char ready. I’m terrible at making chars so it takes forever to get them ready. After that I will make char thread so people with accepted chars can post their sheets there and I will send discord links with discord rules.

Amur is made by Lust god.

I have a feeling Scientia may have been an unwelcome sight to Daryus, waiting for the teacher of heroes to return and tell of what happened so she could record them in her library in Sapphire City.

Until one time the God of Heroes maybe finds her in the same position as he was on his first.

What would have happened then? :3c

Oh, no! He'd not be happy to be pestered about what he saw as miserable events, but the tales of the heroes he trained being recorded for all time? It salves the wound slightly.

And by 'in the same position', you mean as the heroes or as Daryus himself?

In the same position as Daryus himself - since Scientia usually had no attachment to her chosen until she found Freis and stayed with her.

My character is the god of Strife, hence he has the tendency to partake his part in several human conflicts, which included most of the times wars. Usually for the sake of chaoticity, taking the side of the underdog to just ser the powerful like a tortoise on its back. Also yes, he is pretty fascinated with mankind and their behavior despiste mortality. Which would make him war aligned.

Excuse me any typos, posting on phone.

shengami

Sounds like lots of interesting folks. Haha, should be fun to get to know them in character.

Have no qualms with Scientia and Daryus having me beforehand though. I think he'd have definitely told the stories to her each time. Anything for their to be a permanent record of them somewhere. Probably a bit miffed that she never seemed to understand until that last time. He'd be sympathetic though, no 'I told you so's. That shit hurts and he knows.

Hey Steir! Long time no see :D

Posting my boy here. It's still a draft, pending to be corrected, so it may change as soon as I get the pointers.

Spoiler: Click to Show/Hide
God name: Arthran
Alias: Duncan Duskfall
Title: God of Strife
Age: 187.
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Sexual orientation: Hetero
Player Name: Vinterblade

Physical Description: Arthran as a god strikes as a healthy male of imposing height, whose features remind more of mankind rather than the realm of the gods. His true features were indeed shaped for him to look like what a human male should aspire to be according to his Maker - large muscles, a strong, beardless jawline, penetrating bright green eyes along with a long, lush white hair. Nonetheless, he bears with him the War brand printed on his chest and neck in the shape of a magic tattoo, as if it was a brand of ownership from the god of war imposed on him.

As Duncan the mercenary human male, he looks like a healthy young man usually robed in a heavy traveling cloak, perfect for wandering the roads and wearing light plated armor everywhere he goes, along with some sort of weapon, favoring swords and sometimes a shield or a spear. Duncan looks like he is no farther than twenty five years of age, with a body that keeps a balance between strength, muscle and agility. The few things he keeps from his original shape as a god, are the fair tones of hair he usually favors, and the green eyes he keeps from his divine form along with the Brand of the God of War.

Personality: Arthran is confident, cheeky and despises cowardice. However, he is a highly anxious creature despite its divine status way too used to strife, conflict and chaos. This leads to the god of strife being someone completely unable to live a single second in peace, always having to look for a matter to take care of regardless of its nature… Which sometimes may have a very comical, if not disastrous, outcome.

As a God with the domain of Strife, he feels fascination for mankind seemingly to feel a particular kinship with them and their rebel spirit, their ability to seek forward any goal they may have despite their very short existence and the frailty of their lives.

This leads to his whims to make him resolve wars in the favor of underdogs, or of the weak - while many think this is due to a benevolent nature, truth is that he only choses that side of the conflict because he enjoys seeing the status quo being shaken by a force nobody else had ever thought possible.

History: Arthran was made by the God of War almost two centuries ago, an only child who wore the Brand of War ever since he was made. The reason for his existence was merely to become a messenger of the whims of the warring god, or so he believed as he was bestowed with such a task.

The first visit of Arthran to Azure was tainted with blood, death and chaos. As soon as he settled feet on the battlefield, scarlet dyed the soil. So many souls were given back to the god of Death, so much blood spilled for the god of War, and so much chaos sown by a single blade, it didn’t take long until he became renowned both between worshippers, and in the Sapphire City itself for his deeds at the mortal world, and the task he had to carry at hand.

The more he was visiting the human world, the more the god of Strife seemed to grow a wider, and bigger interest in mortals and their ways, so he started to adventure on his own. Many times, he was just an observing creature coming and going across Azure, learning the ways of everything he could, and his presence in the Sapphire City was held at a bare minimum.

Such fragile, meaningless creatures, and yet they strived for survival in a world that conspired to destroy them at every turn, just to prove them who would be stronger against adversity. That made him wonder. And study them. And  feel more, and more identified with those humans, who seemed to be pests to other gods.

However, there was one question he never managed to answer, as much time as he spent with mortals. How did they ever manage to live in peace, in the few moments they were in such a state? How did they manage to find love in such a dark world? Many times he tried to find answers to both questions, and the first only brought him an empty void of despair, while the latter made wonder about the true frailty of mortal creatures, and how everything he touched was eventually broken.

Questions remained unanswered, and his understanding of the mortal world, still untempered. Thus, Arthran continued to seek for such knowledge while performing his duties as a god of strife.

Deity power: Measure of Strength - Arthran can evaluate an objective, or a series of objectives studying them for just a few seconds, gathering as much information as he can from their combat abilities while allowing him and those who fight by his side to make a suitable strategy around them.

Mastery:

The Art of War: Arthran is a child of the god of War. As such, he is well versed with the arts of strategy, philosophy and combat. This allows him to motivate his allies in combat with his presence, giving them a surge of bravery and motivation that will make them fight harder, tougher and without relenting to despair or fear thanks to the inspiring martial prowess he showcases.

Supernatural Swordsmanship: Arthran’s favored weapons are swords. While he can use almost any weapon created by mankind, swords have a particular edge to him. A bladed weapon in his hands becomes the quill of scarlet of a well-versed bard making what otherwise would be a gruesome butchery, a frightful work of art by allowing him to perform sword techniques no mortal could ever dream to pull off as well as attuning the blade to the elements of fire, lightning or ice with a surge of magic.

Brand of Strife: The fact he bears the Brand of the God of War on his body makes him a fearsome foe in the battlefield. This brand allows Arthran to feed off the blood and life essence of those he damages through the blade he’s using in that moment. This makes him a relentless and very enduring warrior, allowing him to regenerate his wounds while he spills blood.

Talents:

Knowledge - Military: Arthran has a very high knowledge of strategy, military movements, squad interactions, armaments and overall matters regarding anything related to war and tactics, as well as history of these.

Smithing: Arthran during his time as Duncan, has visited almost all corners of Azure, learning techniques of smithing from all races in his everlasting curiosity about mankind’s spirit and nature. While he knew how to blend metals with the god’s technology and powerful methods, he found fascinating how from a lump of raw metal ore, a whole sword could be made.

Geography: His time wandering Azure has granted him an extensive knowledge about locations, land shaping and other matters regarding traveling. It’s particularly useful to his role as deity to know where he must head to solve yet another battle, and in favor of whom.

Anatomy: How could you kill efficiently without knowing general anatomy? Any assassin would agree with that statement, and as a warrior, Arthran cannot digress about it, particularly when he uses a blade to inflict such wounds with lethal accuracy. This may also be useful for saving lives, of course, but what other use would he give to that knowledge anyway?

Riding: Come on, he’s not known as the Crimson Rider for nothing! He’s an expert at riding horses and any other battle animals and handling them, as they are the perfect way to enter into the fray and break the enemy lines.

Equipment:

Advantages:

Master-at-arms: Being the child of the God of War has given him an exceptional martial prowess. He’s extremely skilled with weaponry, particularly with swords as his weapon of choice. Nonetheless, anything that could be used as a weapon could take a turn as an instrument of violence in his hands if he wished to.

Fascinated by Mankind: This makes Arthran someone who can tag along with mortals very easily, particularly when he takes the shape of Duncan. He finds them extremely interesting beings where other gods may take them as mere ants or a nuisance, even a bother.

Tough: Arthran is not just strong, he is also resilient and very tough. His pain tolerance is very high, allowing him to take a great deal of damages before being defeated.

Brave: Arthran is a brave creature, beyond his divinity status. He doesn’t relent even before powers greater than his, many times having risen his voice towards the Primes when their requests for his travels to Azure were unreasonable, or extremely harmful even for his standards.

Weaknesses:

I Know No Peace.: Arthran becomes extremely anxious when there are no struggles to take care of during a long period of time. That makes him feel extremely uneasy, paranoid even, considering peace is just an illusion and an even greater threat hides behind it - many times, this is the cause of said problems to manifest, such is the nature his Maker had bestowed upon him.

I Break Everything I Touch: While he is by no means clumsy in the traditional sense, Arthran has the feeling he was made only with one purpose: Destruction. This has scarred his soul deeply, and even made him aloof towards anyone taking a minimal affection towards him in the terrible fear he would hurt or kill anyone he’d touch, including other lesser gods.

Foolish: While he is definitely brave, he is as well very often what normally could be considered a fool. His challenging behavior many times steps beyond the thin line that separates bravery and foolishness, and makes him take wrong choices overtaking a task that is too big for him, or even suffering greater injuries than what were expected. Arthran completely lacks the manners or understanding of mortal beings, making him a very trange mortal creature, as well as he seems to not understand several of the implications of being a mortal.

Player Ons and Offs:

RP ons: Proactivity, adventures, fighting (obviously, with a character like this…), enthusiasm, direct communication between players, brainstorming scene ideas, being an active player.
OOC offs: OOC drama, entitlement, toxicity, passive players, massive reactive posting, ghosting (or leave me hanging), lying to me/looking for cheap excuses instead of talking things out if something doesn’t work.
Sexy Ons and Offs: Check my O/O’s, I’m really not hard to understand I promise! (Look at my signature!)

[Sorry guys, failed somehow to post this on first try]

Here is char thread link. Everyone whose char has been accepted, go post your char there : ) I’m sending discord link and rules via PM to those whose chars are ready.

Arthran is mostly okay. There is mostly history stuff that needs some editing. The Right arm of War should be removed from the title.

The primes created the lessers, but it’s extremely rare they show enough interest in anything to give direct order to their creations or even show interest in whatever they are doing. That’s partially why the lessers can’t come to Eden freely. Dealing with the primes is mostly requesting something, which they grant or not. All player lessers are equally important or unimportant to the primes, depending on one’s view.

For this reason Arthran can’t be messenger of War and do his bidding. He might believe he is doing so, but it has never been confirmed in any way. As far as the lessers know, the primes don’t have need for killing either mortals or lessers at the moment to regain energy for themselves.

In general we hope that people don’t create strong bonds with the primes, because they don’t have favorites or if they do, they aren’t player chars. The lessers can believe they are doing something to please/annoy a prime or primes, but it’s anyone’s guess if they truly are doing so.

Very well, edited with the corrections, let me know if I should edit anything else!

I think I have a potential idea for a god of vengeance... but I'll have to think for a good hard minute on if I'll have the time to dedicate to the game.

Gardsorm

No problem dude, take your time!

For everyone else working on a sheet or potentially considering joining, we will most likely start the game in a few days! Don't feel an immediate need to rush though, we're just waiting a little to give folks time to process what they need for the game wothout feeling pressured. :)

Kissa

Here is link to OOC for general chatter, making connections and all that with those who have signed up but don't have accepted character yet. OOC between players with accepted chars will be in Discord.

Rhynarion

Hey, I wanted to plant my flag of interest but I had a question –

Are the lesser god archetypes on the first post the only ones that exist, meaning that a god of animals is the only remaining one?

Steir

The ones listed are the domains already claimed by players for their characters. That means anything not on the list is still fair game.

Kissa

Hi and glad to hear there are people interested : )

The types in reservation aren’t only ones, they are just the ones players have said they are going to make or have made. To avoid having multiple same deities there is a reservation list. So we can have only one god of animals, but it’s possible to make a character who has very similar abilities. All it needs is different title, like god of Wild or Beasts for example.

While we are at it, we are going to set a new rule concerning about reservations. If a character sheet isn’t ready in 14 days from reserving the deity title, the title will be released. If a accepted character isn’t used in the roleplay for 3 months, their deity will be released and character in question moved to inactive status.

Also, sorry for taking a long time with replies. It’s always a bit slower with two GMs as everything has to be double checked before saying anything so there won’t be conflicting answers. Anyways, we usually get answer to questions within 24 hours : )

Updating reservations too.
